Video Wii

Ubisoft sent us two new videos of Red Steel 2 showing some weapons and a Speed Painting of one of the game's characters. The game is still planned for March 25.

GSY Preview Wii

Last week, Ubisoft invited us to the presentation of their upcoming Wii game, Red Steel 2, a good opportunity to play the preview build of the game for a few hours and meet up with the creative director and another member of the team. We had a chance to see the game in action and learn more about its content, but also to try that famous Wii Motion Plus technology on a more "gamer appealing" title. Of course we all remember the first game, that wasn't really successful despite a promising concept at the Wii's debut. So what now of this sequel - which has in fact very little to do with its predecessor? Summary of the event illustrated by our essential videos inside.
Update 2: 24 images added.

Trailer Wii

While waiting for our preview in a few days, here is a new trailer of Red Steel 2 named "Some days".

Trailer Wii

Ubisoft released this tutorial video of Red Steel 2 focusing on the enhanced controls granted by the Wii Motion Plus. Since the first game was blamed for being unplayable, it is definitely good news to see that they have worked a lot in that area to offer the best possible experience to the player.

Ubisoft also released these images of Red Steel 2, along with game's intro and a huge gameplay video.

toelessfoot @Melmoth: They should really sell a controller-less G2, I'd definitely get one. It can be used with Index controllers too. (10 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth An inside-out tracking-solution would make things much simpler. The G2 seems fantastic for sims, but unsure about the controller tracking. (11 Hours ago)

Melmoth @toelessfoot: The problem i have with the CV1 is having to move the sensors between two rooms when going from a sim setup to roomscale. So much hassle that i rarely use roomscale at all. (11 Hours ago)

Melmoth @nostradamus: i read about it a while ago. Based on the Doom engine. Looked really well made for a fan-game. (11 Hours ago)

toelessfoot @Melmoth: Yeah I came from a Rift CV1, kind of wish I hadn't sold it for the good tracking and OLED contrast, not to mention my computer could run more games at its native res. (11 Hours ago)

nostradamus @Melmoth: you have this [url] its pretty decent if you can stomach that unforgiving sonic physics in 3d [url] (12 Hours ago)

Melmoth Talking about 3d platforming. I still think the contol principles of sonic hasn't been properly done in 3D (13 Hours ago)
