Saints Row IV Re-Elected has also been available on Nintendo Switch for a few days and we took the time to capture the first 45 minutes of the game. As a reminder, this version comes with no less than twenty-five DLC.

After giving players the opportunity to get a crazy over the top pastiche of the GTA series, the Saints Row franchise decided to become even more inFamous with a new Prototype of varied gameplay mechanics. That's basically how Saints Row IV was born a year and a half ago on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. With the arrival of standalone Gat out of Hell, Kochmedia and Volition couldn't leave PS4 and Xbox One owners on the side, so they decided to port the game and all its DLC. The result is quite catastrophic technically speaking, as proven by our 8 gameplay videos, but it's all about the fun it seems. And it's true indeed, Saints Row IV: Re-elected is fun, especially when played co-op. Still, it's more than time they start using another 3D engine, especially since it cannot even hold a steady framerate on PS4, making it quite annoying to play considering how poor it looks.

At PAX, Deep Silver and Volition announced Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, a standalone extansion of Saints Row 4 that will be out in late January 2015 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and 360. That means the original title is also coming to the new gen consoles on the same date under the name Saints Row IV: Re-elected and will contain all DLCs. Get the first screens inside.

toelessfoot @Melmoth: They should really sell a controller-less G2, I'd definitely get one. It can be used with Index controllers too. (14 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth An inside-out tracking-solution would make things much simpler. The G2 seems fantastic for sims, but unsure about the controller tracking. (15 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth @toelessfoot: The problem i have with the CV1 is having to move the sensors between two rooms when going from a sim setup to roomscale. So much hassle that i rarely use roomscale at all. (15 Hours ago)

Melmoth @nostradamus: i read about it a while ago. Based on the Doom engine. Looked really well made for a fan-game. (15 Hours ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot @Melmoth: Yeah I came from a Rift CV1, kind of wish I hadn't sold it for the good tracking and OLED contrast, not to mention my computer could run more games at its native res. (15 Hours ago)

nostradamus @Melmoth: you have this [url] its pretty decent if you can stomach that unforgiving sonic physics in 3d [url] (15 Hours ago)

Melmoth Talking about 3d platforming. I still think the contol principles of sonic hasn't been properly done in 3D (17 Hours ago)
