When The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR got released, we were unable to get a review code for the game but we were pleasantly surprised to get one before the July update which was meant to add big visual improvements to the game. Had we not been away on vacation at the time, we could have provided you some gameplay footage in time for the embargo lift, but since we couldn't, here's our gameplay video of the beginning of the Story mode. As you'll see, image quality has been improved drastically compared to the original release. This new version adds FSR, Foveated Rendering and enables TAA at 60 FPS. The game has also been optimized with improved lighting, visual effects, decals, models and textures of environments. Also note that some enemies now have updated textures, animations, pathing and improved dynamic hit reactions. Last but not least, the loading times have been dramatically shortened.
