Towaga: Among Shadows came out last week and it's the perfect example of a visually stunning 2D game whose gameplay loop isn't enough to keep players entertained for very long. In most situations, the main character cannot move, so all you have to do is shoot the enemies that come toward you. At times, you can to fly around but movement remains limited to a rather small area, but that's about it. Despite the fact that you can upgrade the power of your beam, its size and a bunch of other things (like the use of magic for example), it gets old pretty fast, unless you wish to play the game on an Apple device. Not even the addition of a multiplayer doesn't make it recommendable if what you see in our long gameplay video doesn't convince you. We didn't record the very beginning of the game so what you see here is an upgraded main character facing enemies you'll only encounter after a couple of hours.
