You guys certainly enjoyed our previous gigantic video of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain showing the E3 demo in super high quality. Well, Kojima Productions strikes again with this time the Gamescom demo of the game, once again in 1080p and 60fps! Needless to say, only the stream and the torrent are available for the moment.

Why not make it for VR (morpheus)? It's already 60fps - so most problems are behind.

kinda wish they had the original lighting and vegetation from last year's presentation. That video had such a huge impact on me when i first saw it. now it feels like it's missing that.

Its still early, they havent shown every area yet, its possible its still there. It is more open world, i think i remember Kojima saying its going to be globe trotting.

VR brings it's own problems and this engine was revealed ages ago, well before the thing that made VR a viable consideration was really even conceptualized, let alone public knowledge. VR isn't a coat of paint you can throw on, you have to build an engine to really use it. An engine that runs at 60 now wouldn't run at 60 if you just forced it to render a 3D VR perspective.
