Zelda for Gamecube looks better...seriously tho, it does. After seeing these screens that BlueDragon game was brought back into memory...whatever happend to that game anyways? It was looking very pretty.

Just kidding, I realise this is the art direction the devs probably wanted to go in, and in Japan, graphics aren't everything. They just love their RPGs..even if they are budget priced ones.

Again .. japanese will love it .. buy it, make things i cant write here w/ the disc and them sell it to someone else (they love re-selling over there .. sony is even thinking in blocking Blu-Ray discs from running in more them one PS3!)
I don't care about graphics, sure they're a plus, but I want new original games for the 360.
The 360 is only getting like PC games. When is it actually going to get some CONSOLE games?
You guys are experiencing a "cultural shock" .. games like this (last-gen looking) exists since well... Atari .. it had a bad looking pong.
Look at PS2 games "japan only" release, ok some of them are very cool but most look like Snes/PS1 games.. why? because japanese people love crap? no .. because it is from small developers over there .. that dont get to export games to the ocident.
Xbox1 dont had much (if any) "japan only" games .. and very few "japan-international" ones .. so its a bit of a shock .. but also VERY good news ..
About Ziria .. it comes from a "cult" rpg game from PC Engine (a console that most of people dont even know but beat the hell out of Nes in japan for some good quality time) never seen the sun born in the other side and probrably will never do.
this is a remake of a game that's like 15 years old. i don't think you can raelly expect that much, especially from a company that's tiny. its almost like going back and playing final fantasy for the story ;)
I dont wanna be crucified by saying that the earth is round .. but graphics are as meaningfull as gameplay .. the point is convincing you are inside the story/virtual world .. and graphics does that as much as gameplay.. cant we just have BOTH? .. yes .. a game w/ good gameplay only IS inferior to a game w/ good graphics and good gameplay ..

I agree that graphics aren't everything but something like this is akin to being given the chance to drive a Bugatti Veyron on the Nurburgring and cruising at 30mph.

You guys can complain all you want, but if you want Japanese developers to continue working with the xbox to make games that meet your standards like BD, LO etc, then you're going to have to accept the fact that games like these will be made. This is a popular franchise in Japan, and whether it looks utter next-gen has very little relevance to the fact that the Xbox360 is now getting quite a standard line-up of games in Japan that is starting to reflect what PS2 has been getting. Filling in their shoes, as you would put it.
So unless if you want to x360 to lose whatever potential it has in Japan, you're not going to knock on these games unless you really hate having the option to buy JRPGs and whatnot that get localized here. Actually, doesn't even seem like we get that option, as the Japanese probably realize America is full of spoiled brats that actually get ANGRY over something like this.
Anyways, D3 is also doing games for the X360 which is a very good sign, so even though the console had a bad launch, I can see it really pick up steam in a few more months. Hopefully all these complaints fall on deaf ears because the 360 is already heading in a good direction and that should not change.
