Xbox 360

Microsoft today released these images of Ninja Gaiden 2, supposed to be from the Tokyo Game Show. We didn't have them in the database, and other sites doesn't seem to have recieved them back then either, so we'll just let you enjoy some 1080p greatness a month after the unveiling.

First thoughts: OMG teh blood!

I really really hope Tecmo doesn't have to cut it for europe again. They just shouldn't realease it in Germany, I'd be more than happy getting a copy off the austrian market but un-cut!

Seriously? Just look how many legs and heads there're rolling and you don't like the bloo?! The artistic blood imo is very good looking.

bet it looks 10x worse in still screens than in motion. Gears of War wasnt as gory as the images showed, so i doubt this will either.

Apparently latest build the graphics look much much better than these :D

NG2 looks very cool indeed, but in the graphics it doesnt seem to take a few step up like NG did on Xbox.

But in motion however it looked awesome indeed. Games these days have to be seen in motion rather than screenshots.

However, the gameplay looks very cool like always, hopefully the AI aint as bullshit cheap, but I doubt that will change considering its TN.

I do like that every powerful hit can cut limbs off and blood will go everywhere, thats very cool.

But considering that this blood and cut off limbs is a new thing and the gore and all that to NG2, I do not think they will cut it down for EU.

Anyway, the game looks awesome artisticlly and gameplay looks as the good old NG, so those who have mastered the previous title will have no problem owning the AI in this one.

Well it means that it won't sell as well, there will be a higher age restriction or in come countries a complete ban if the violence isn't removed.

Personally I have no problem with the blood, I would expect to see it if i slash someone with a sword.

1080p?

I thought the game ran at 720p. Is there confirmation of this?

Not nearly as impressive as it could've been, graphically, but with NG it's all about the gameplay. Hopefully they don't dumb down the game for all the crybabies. It also worries me that MS is publishing it. Itagaki needs to stop sucking Billy boy's dick already.

The 360 can scale any game to 1080p. I don't think any games support it natively. These are just press release shots, anyway. Those are always touched up or shown at a greater than normal resolution, sometimes even bigger than 1080p.

Virtua Tennis or w/e was native 1080P

That is still a possibility for NG2 but i expect it to be 720P, also, game is at 40% completion so even tho the game looks good, it will look better upon release.

I've never been so letdown by a Developer tech abilities.

I should've took DOa4 and DOAX 2 as percursors, but my god if this game doesn't disappoint and underwhelm in the GFX area. The lightning renderer is just crap.

The game looks like it's gonna be awesome but the GFX....DMC4 for example, just murders this, and this is an exclusive title.

VT3 and NBA Homecourt are 1080p on X360

1080p 4xAA in NBA homecourt.

NG2 will be scaled to 1920x1080 like Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3 was from 1280x720.

  • nostradamus

nostradamus in the end there is still a whole lot more missions to go, but EA will never not "MassProduceFrame" this franchise, so no more EA for me. (it was a gift) - The respawn game is indeed an odd one out. (3 Hours ago)

  • nostradamus

nostradamus @Melmoth: yhea, but i still think the missions are the tipical EA clones, not a dent on Lucas Arts/Totallygames. Apt, as a new age Star Wars fast food junk. That VR Mission was some bait&switch. (4 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth @nostradamus: You use the PSVR? SW Squadrons is really cool in VR. The feeling of zipping past a star destroyer in a x-wing is a childhood dream come true. (11 Hours ago)

  • nostradamus

nostradamus @Melmoth: psvr 2.0, its bad too, really bad. and no up/down adjust (17 Hours ago)

Melmoth One of the problems i have with the Rift is it hurts my head, more precisely forehead, when i wear it for more than 30 mins (18 Hours ago)

Melmoth @toelessfoot: I haven't tried the Quest 2 myselv, but people seemed to compare the image quality/resolution when using the link-cable to the Rift S, atleast before the update. (18 Hours ago)
