Xbox 360 PS3

Namco released this brand new trailer of Soul Calibur IV during the CES, with the rather startling revelation of the 2 "new" characters. The smallest of the two will be exclusive to the 360 version, and the other one with the rasping voice will only be available on the PS3.

Didn't they hint that the new guest characters were gonna have Sabers and they're very well known a while back?

I immediately thought of characters from Star Wars...but then I thought it would be impossible, so I though it would be that Sparrow guy from Pirates of the Caribbean since his sword is also called a Saber.

Man I was totally off on that one, lol.

If only I stuck to my first guess. =P

My first reaction when I saw this (on another forum) was literally saying "What!" rather loudly.

Looks awesome. Both look really great. I hope if they do separate the two like they did with Link, Spawn, and Heihatchi, that you can pay to DL the other one. But it'd be better if they didn't do that at all. You couldn't have put Link on the Xbox or PS2, and if they just cut Link from the other versions (of SC2) it would have made the Gamecube version best (with characters), so they kind of had to make them all '1' each.

So Yoda and Vader will be able to kill with one hit since they have light sabers , lights sabers cut thru anything , bodies , swords , spaceship doors..

The two universes couldn't be any more different!!!

Just saw a offscreen video on IGN from CES, the tit physics are very... pronounced.

---> Both combined is just rediculous. Oh man, I'm so disapointed. Was allready disapointed when they came up with Tekken-Charas Heihachi and even Yoshimitsu (in the other versions Link and Spawn, +Yoshimitsu)...
The game looks fantastic, very hot physics, cool grafx, and it seems there's a new dodge system. Looks pretty cool. But combining a more medival themed game with Star Wars? What is Namco thinking? Why not creating new, fresh characters who fit in the whole setting/theme. Can't believe it, really.... I don't get the point.

Its just a damn bonus, like thy´ve done before in other games. Master Chief was in the last DoA game and there were no cries about "mixing" past with future.

its a wink from the makers of the game, a sympathetic bonus... dont get it for what it isnt ¬¬ The core of the game will be the same as ever (for good or bad).

I just saw that fact. I was thinking they will be new full implemented charas, like Yoshimitsu is since part2.
Well, in that case it's more funny and not that bad. Thought both charas would be for all systems. However strange decision to chose those. *lol*

Uh? Soul calibur has never had a medival theme, it has had armors and weapons with a 1000+ year time span, and it's not like the series has ever been realistic :)
