Microsoft's GDC keynote was just finished, and first out here is Fable 2. Stay tuned for much more. Update: Looks like we managed to get a few seconds of gameplay out of the broken tape, so there you have it. Enjoy!
God I can't wait for Fable 2, loved the first one, second one will be great.
Love fantasy games, and Fable series just feels like a colorful style of a Tim Burton art.
There is co-op in this game?
Since when was this announced :S
11:33 am PT -- The next feature requires an assistant. "What I really want is dynamic co-op," declared Peter. At any time during the game, another character can join you.
11:34 am PT -- Peter's friend teleports into the scene -- any experience and money he earns here can be taken back to his own single-player game.
The original game was supposed to have co-op, but shockingly it was cut. Along with basically every other feature the game was hyped to have.
Despite that, I LOVED the original, if they can get this out with all of the features that were originally promised for the first, then I'll be very happy. The colonial time period is also a refreshing setting for an RPG. :)
It's kind of funny, the first two pics look horrible, the next two look decent and the last looks pretty nice :D
Anywho, co-op is a neat feature for a game like this. Much looking forward to it. Now we just need to bring back the arena form Fable 1, but with online support so that heroes around the world can battle it out for supremacy :)

Co op was cut from the first due to time and money..Lionhead had neither.
Very nice screens indeed. Nice artdirection and nice tech merging in the best way possible. Hopefully the gameplay and story will live up to what have been shown this far.
Graphics aren't among the best I've seen but it looks acceptable atleast by todays standards. Though, that bit I've seen in one of the diaries where the camera pans over this little town and into the woods was absolutely georgous!
I'd like to see a high res gameplay vid to really see what this game looks like. Regardless, if the first one is anything to go by this game will be awesome. Molyneux is making this game with the right vision, he really wants to make something special and draw a player into the game with subtle touches like the dog for instance.
I hope he can pull it of and create a true masterpiece, if not, I'll expect to atleast enjoy the game like I did with the first one.

this game will suck
they raised my hopes so much for the first fable and didn't deliver, plus there are too many rpgs better out and coming out.. fable 2's time has passed

Too many RPG's? Such as?
Excluding all the JRPG's I can only think of 1 western RPG coming out anytime soon and that's Fallout 3. I hate JRPG's with a passion so I'll gladly welcome any half-decent WRPG.
Graphics aren't that impressive but the art direction is great. Fable 2 seems to be about lots of details instead of a dozen texture layers and high res models. It's like an advanced version of World of Warcraft, I like it.
After seeing the GDC gameplay presentation I can say it looks very pretty. Perhaps a bit too colourfull to my taste but pretty nonetheless.
The lighting is beautifull, perhaps a bit to "bloomy" here and there. The animations themselves are pretty good actually, but it's the "floating" and the horrible transitions that kill them.
Looking good, though I'd like to see some more environments now. Atm it's all a bit too familiar when looking back at Fable 1.

Fable 2 looks so beautiful and blush, colorful, great.
But it is not coming out for months and months, so plently of polishing and adding.
