Epic and Microsoft drop the bomb and release the first gameplay video of Gears of War 2. Two minutes of extreme violence and fire, for what appears to be an explosive hyperbole of the first title. Visually, it looks stunning.

gow2 design looks great but the graphics need a lot of work there very juddery and its noway as good as resistance or killzone I think this title would work better on a ps3 as it has loads more power for this type of game

I have a PS3 and a PC (Core2Quad, 8800gts). I've played Uncharted (PS3) and GoW(PC).
Both Games look great. Uncharted on the PS3 and the extreemly polished (16AA, AF) PC Version of GoW.
Uncharted has by far the better Gameplay and Story. It only lacked Multiplayer.
GoW make me realy felt stupid while playing it. Its a typical game for 16 year old teenagers. Just blood and brutal killing. But it also had by far the stupiest and because of that the funniest dialoges in a game. (Arnold Schwarzenegger Style)
In my opinion i hate Mark Rein and so his Game engine which is overwhealming the gaming market. I hope Crytek and other studios will stop that.
If you just love stupid-brainless shooting orgies then thats your game otherwise, run, run as fast as you can.

Instead of people pointing out what new features they saw in that snippet I propably missed out I couldn't be bothered looking for things like that in this thread. On topic: The game looks amazing, the action is so tense, I'm really curious if they can keep the tension throughout the whole game. If they do, it's a serious contnder for GOTY, more than it is already. Love how the chainsawing looks diffrent every time. What I loked in GoW was that every kill looked diffrent, nothing seems to repeat itself. Made for some insanely fun moments, expanding it to all the weapons making deaths more interesting is a step into the right direction.
Not a huge fan of Gears but that looked pretty awesome, seemed pretty intense and the cinamatic quality looks quite emersive.
I duno why some of you have to turn this into a killzone vs gears war, I guess boils down to the fact that some of you don't own both consoles or something.
I think both games are guna offer very different mechanics and settings, so don't see where the competition is.

Plus the CGI trailer was MUCH more intense action wise than the real game, with way lot more action going on.
