Eidos and Crystal Dynamics release a bunch of new screenshots of the highly anticipated Tomb Raider: Underworld. It showcases a lush environment we've never seen before and superb tiger just about to be shot in the head by Lara. Damn woman.
doesnt impress me as much as uncharted did, and still does visually. but the stages look a lot larger so its to be expected. the only worry is that im not sure if i've had enough of lara. i mean, this is what? the ninth game including anniversary. theres only so much i can take. i think, much like the last few games, i'll just rent it. there doesnt seem to be a big enough improvement beyond the visuals to make buying it see worthwhile.
also, lol at the karate kick to the tiger. kinda rediculous looking.

I'd agree, this game looks a fair bit better than Uncharted graphically - mainly due to the more realistic colouring. The one thing I was disappointed with in Uncharted was how cartoony the colour scheme and plastic skin look made the game appear.
Lets hope the controls are as good/better than Uncharted, which was very smooth (well, except the shooting!).
The moment they show my sweet lara climbing the cliff it gave chills to my back.
Make It more "Puzzlataforming" like Anniversary/TR1 and less "plataforming 4 braindeads" like Legend/Uncharted, C. Dynamics.

Did you actually play the other games, besides the original, only Legend and Anniversary have been worth playing, they aren't even considered to be canon anymore. I don't see people complaining about the fact we're onto the seventh or eighth Resident Evil game.
This will only be the third game under the current format, and that's counting the remake of the original. I'm looking forward to the continuation of the story.
It "looks" better, but the textures are not as good as uncharted. Textures and animation in uncharted will be hard to beat. I do prefer Tomb Raider though, hopefully it's going to be a good game.
This game will not disappoint! The visuals are looking mighty impressive! After playing Tomb Raider: Anniversay on the Xbox 360 I was blown away by how great the puzzles actually were.
The only edge Uncharted has are its visuals but gameplay wise, if this proofs to be as good as Anniversay, it was the most boring AAA game I have played on this Next-Gen so far.
...even though I have to admit that the graphics here look far more realistic...
As long as the adventure, spelonking and action part is balanced and the controls responsive and intuitive I can't see much go wrong with this game.
I never liked the way uncharted looked or played. Thought the so called lush environments were not detailed at all, and the gameplay was like tombraider minus the female lead. (just an opinion before anyone gets all crazy on me, I thought the same of MGS4 and Gears of War too)
This does look nice, but again, it just doesnt impress me all that much. Ill wait for some more diversity before I judge it though.
This is not even comparable to Uncharted. Uncharted has way better graphics than this game. Still looking forward to this though.... Takes more than shiny graphics to make a good game :)
Uncharted had a better color scheme. It was more vibrant, which I like. But uncharted was more a gears of war corridor shooter and not platforming and puzzling on massive scale like TRU is promising...
I will sure like this game. I only hope it's a bit more difficult then Legend. I can replay Legend in just a couple of hours now...

Did you play Anniversary? It had far longer levels and was a lot more challenging, even if you'd played through the original game.
I'm really looking forward to the game. Graphically, I'd say it's better than Uncharted, and the gameplay likely will be too. I found Uncharted to be too floaty and rether unresponsive, and like you said, it's more of an action game. I frankly didn't understand what all the hype about that game was about. Tomb Raider is more about the platforming and problem solving, I don't see the need to compare the two.

and yet you just did...lol
tomb raider is the rocky series of the game world. same thing over and over and desperately needs to be thrown aside. at least give it a nice long rest. or give the game a decent overhaul, because while small elements have changed slightly throughout the years, we've essentially played tomb raider 1 8 times since 1996...lol. im getting bored. and i cant imagine this is going to change thing. the trailer has already proved the voice acting is still just as hokey as ever.
whoever owns the licence needs to put it 6ft under.
You pass a image of a TOOL judging VA that no one cares about.
Go to play your uncharted a.k.a. Dude raider for 3 Years old or less, and let people await this entry in the best action-adventure series of all-time, mmkay?
