PS3

TTP sent us these videos from the public beta of Killzone 2, mostly showing the environments with much details. Such a great lighting!

One of my favourite PS3 games (but I don´t have a PS3 by now) This game will be very nice, great lighting as BlibBlim say, great graphics and gameplay looks solid. I can´t wait to play it (I will play the game with a friend with PS3) ^^

Also, as great as this looks I definitely think the SP looks better...more effects, more action etc. This looks so damn smooth though

One of the main reasons I bought a PS3!

Damn random beta code, I downloaded the theme, so my chanced would have been doubled
Hopefully they will announce other beta code waves (which from what I read, its not gonna happen).

Awesome visuals, great art, great sound/music (Joris De Man yes!) awesome gameplay!
The FPS title I have been waiting for, for years now.
Gritty, dark, sci-fi war game, lovely!

Can't wait to get my hands on this.

PS. Blim can you ask TTP to record the main music tracks and upload it? I would so want those!

great upload.
definitely the best console graphics to date(and to think it's the multiplayer), i have huge expectations for this game, the gameplay looks solid, and i hope that they give it an immersive enough story to seal the deal.
it's up to sony now to properly market this game so that it gets the sales it deserves.

A texture troll, about KillZone2?

You're job is redundant here.

good graphics but a bit blurred, not detailed as others games, GOW2, etc maybe for textures and the quincux filter used for AA
and some are reporting a framerate between 20-30 fps, I hope they fix this in the final version

I think the blurriness might be due to video compression, because another video site offers Beta videos that look much sharper. Of course the game implements heave motion blurring and other effects, but not to make everything look that blurry. Still, it's a good looking game.

P.S. Please use GeoW or Gears 2. Fast to write and does not get mixed for a fraction of a second to another game. ;)

It's a stunning game.

Comparing it to Gears 2 is pretty redundant, considering, this is multiplayer and the textures are still astounding.

And if you see these in HD on your TV, it's not blurred at all.

The game does seem to use more geometry for stuff than gears 2 though, geometry for details rather than textures...

you're right, alot of people are failing to realise that it's the depth of field effect and motion blur responsible for the apparent blurriness. e.g when the character is looking ahead, his gun becomes out of his field of view, it blurs due to the depth of field effect(this is even more pronounced when aiming).
when it comes to textures, saying that gears is better is just stupid, because they have completely different art directions.

Looks damn near perfect! This and MGS4 are why I bought my ps3.

My only complaints would be that the HUD is too busy and I hate that the screen turns grey while you're injured.

The sound design is fantastic. That's what impressed me, not to mention the art direction.

It seems as though a veil has been thrown over the eyes of many. This game feels as though the textures are more relevant to Call of Duty rather than comparable to Gears of War.

There are a few effects that make things look rather sweet. The Physics are unforgettable, but the textures are lacking. By lacking I mean they are missing essential things that can create an even more immersible atmosphere. Normal Mapping / and Parallax Mapping seem to be irrelevant and non existent. For a "war zone" a lot of detail seems to be missing.

I do indeed think, graphically it seems to be lacking. But everything else seems to be great. Maybe I'm just spoiled with my GoW2.

Aside from graphics though, this seems to be shaping up to be a decent game.

lol texture troll? take a look, there are no damn textures

I guess i too have been spoilt by GOW2...oh no, that makes me a naughty naughty fanboy!!! :(

Other than the bland textures of the beta (which i played a few weeks ago btw), the lighting is awesome, and the animations are nice. It's also alot less forgiving than most multiplayer games when it comes to the amount of bullets you can take..which is actually a refreshing change..reminded me more of css than say battlefield or cod4
