Last week at Sony's E3 conference, we all got to see a new gameplay demo of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag but. Here is the commented version of the video in its 1080p glory. A small taste of next gen on the exact day the people in charge at Microsoft came to their senses.

It's noticably prettier, yes.
But many people still won't buy this if they don't change up the gameplay and structure. Also making the enemies tougher? I severely doubt it.
I suppose it'll be just another stupid AC game all over again because there are just too many no-life videogame-addicts out there who fall for the same repetitve formula and need their fix of media entertainment.

Well, if it's good, then at least judging by this demo my PC should be still fine enough to run it on max settings. If it's same bad as previous games -- then who cares.

Going seamlessly from one environment to another seems to be the biggest improvement. Unfortunately does it look like the core gameplay is exactly the same as in AC3

actually that wasn't a console vs console statement. It was about Gamer's right statement! Call me crazy, but I like having ownership of the games I pay for...

The game looks great, nice graphics too but it looks like the game is struggling to be at a good 30fps.

Hmmm... it just doesn't scream "Next Gen" to me. I'm still seeing aliasing/flickering issues that should be a thing of the past with the XB-One / PS4. Maybe I'm just spoiled with PC, but this is making me reconsider me reconsidering.

exactly. has a new setting but still looks the same just because the series has played relatively the same since the first game. I honestly kept playing it for the new worlds, but there is only so much of the same I can take. the graphics really don't look that special either for next gen game, still looks like a current gen console game but with AA.

Since most games are coming to PS3. It will be interesting to see the difference. I think PS4 will be 1080P max settings like a PC. PS3 720P low-meidum settings

am I the only one who is not impressed by this, I just don't get where they are trying to take this IP. Also the step up in presentation does not warrent a 400 euro investment in new hardware. I know they are 2 different games, but go to the BF4 multiplayer footage and go 6mins in, thats next gen that warrents me spending money. IMO

Sure, but when you don't give a damn about multiplayer, Battlefield is clearly the worst game ever. Just depends on what you want to play. Also, good graphics don't always make good games, as Crysis 2 and 3 proved when they were released.

Although this is a console game. At the same time the console technology is holding it back. I wonder how much time they had to release on next gen. It is probably port from PC to so called next gen consoles.
