From Software does not only work on Chrome Hounds and Enchant Arm, but will also release Armored Core on Xbox 360 and PS3. This trailer is for the Xbox 360 version and was first shown during the TGS.
I've never been interested in the Armored Core games really. I used to fight with my mate over which was better, AC or Virtual On. :)
However, I think this is one of the cooler power showcases for the 360 because the graphics aren't just normal mapped to hell, they're actually tastefully balanced as with a lot of stuff to come from japan in terms of design. Nice break from the UE3 stuff.
[edit: I should add that this is confirmed to be 100% realtime]
Another game that will really help the Xbox 360 get of it's feet in Japan, at least i hope it does. It don't think the Xbox 360 will suffer the same fate as the original Xbox in Japan.

Do you have the PS3 trailer too? I want to see that also.
IGN did a comparison of the two trailers. The PS3 trailer shows more close ups but the 360 trailer looks just as good. I love the customisation in armored core and the added destruction in this version looks amazing.

ign is pathetic, ps3 harware doesnt even exist, neither does blu-ray. sony is showing a bunch of prerendered stuff made on some uber computer with projected equal spec. xbox 360 is a reality and almost 20 days away. ps3 is an idea that may not be released till 2007.

Explain how I could see the MGS4 trailer running in realtime at the TGS then. I saw Kojima stop the trailer in the middle and start playing with the camera.
and actually the PS3 hardware exist but only the alpha version that doesnt have the nvidia card is jut the cell procesor, and all those video of MGS4 and this are made for the alpha version.

ATI did the same thing with their Ruby demo (running on ATI's latest GPU chip)
Yes, MGS4 was real-time, however, it did not take into account AI, physics, frame rates, player controls, etc etc. It's kind of like those demos you download from ati or nvidia that shows amazing graphics (which are real-time, and you can't control the characters or car at very fast pace), but does not translate into games. It's not a good indicator of what the system is capable of, but what things (effects, aa, eg.) are possible.

Um... no... on a dvd, you cannot ROTATE the camera, only zoom in and out... you look stupid saying stuff like that...
Great job Blim, you've got something special here.
