Ubisoft releases three new vibrant images of James Cameron's Avatar. It showcases a giant rat jumping on a mecha, a helicopter inside a forest of jellyfishes and an orange and purple skinned dinosaur. Space.

Talk about gorgeous art though! Is it in 3D??!

Commented on 2009-06-19 07:04:39So I think them getting the word out there on this is a nice sign that the game should be more than a crappy movie tie-in.

Commented on 2009-06-20 13:14:00But looking at these images does give a hint on what the movie looks like in terms of world and art, so I look forward to it because it looks pretty cool.
Commented on 2009-06-20 22:14:17Oh, and the only good "movie" game adaptation I've ever played was indeed Spider-Man 2. I still play it till this day, swinging around and all.

I have guarded high hopes for this as Cameron seems to have been heavily involved and the team has a good track record.
