Telltale Games unveils the first trailer of Batman - The Telltale Series as well as new screenshots. The first episode Realm of Shadows will be out on August 2. Warner Bros. More over, on September 13 Warner Bros. will release the Season Pass Disc, the retail version of the game. It will contain the first episode on disc and will grant you access to the digital download of the four remaining episodes once they become available.

Even though the graphics aren't the best, I definitely see improvements from the previous Telltale games using the older engine version.

It will be interesting to see how much player input in action scenes gameplay you have and how well done it is. This is a title that I feel just being mostly cinematic wouldn't do it justice, considering that Batman's stories, specially Origins ones, have been told many times before and there's already the Arkham games who have successfully realized the "Be The Batman" fantasy experience.

Not that this game is trying to compete with those games, but a Batman game with little action or gameplay would feel weird, as Batman is an action-centered hero in both comics, cartoons, movies, games, etc.

Thankfully, from the trailer this game looks to have enough action. So I'm looking forward to seeing what Telltale Games do with the Batman license.

PS. I just thought of this, but it would be nice if we could play with Catwoman as well, like influencing some of her decisions.

honestly i just hope it animates better. I was fine with the way the last few telltale games looked, but they animate like shit. And thats more an issue with the team/release schedules than it is the engine.

I don't think these hunch-back developers realize that when you're that buff, you're slow as hell. Your blood-oxygen is so limited that you'd pass out after 15 seconds of swinging... what's the deal with all the machismo.

It's an armor. If you look at the screenshot where he's in civilian clothes, you'll see that he's perfectly fit.

Yeah, can't they afford a mocap studio and tech now ? It would look so much better with live people acting the diverse movements etc

Hell, even the recent Bethesda games have better animations than a lot of the latest Telltale games...
