EA just released these 12 images of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, looking as great as ever. I also added two low-res trailers with over six minutes of gameplay.
I just don't know if I'm a fan of the art direction of this game. Everything seems to have sort of a haze over it and any detail is lost. The snow level especially exhibits this problem. It seems the enemy units are nearly indistiguishable and for the most part the game seems to be "shoot the black blobs before they shoot you".
I never played the XBOX version so I don't know if it has the same effect, perhaps I'm ruined by the cartoony colorized Far Cry but this game just looks so damn dark and unremarkable.
