GSY Video PS4 Xbox One PC

Because EA only sent us our Xbox One copy of Battlefield V a week after the game's release, we had to ask CpRBe to capture some PC footage of his own game to show you a bit of multiplayer gameplay. NO one should be especially interested in our Xbox One X videos of the campaign mode, but here is a couple anyway. As usual, DICE's game is not meant to be played alone, its campaign being just as mediocre as those of the previous games in the franchise, but at least there is a single player campaign here. You'll get to see pretty nice-looking locations, though we'd love to see DICE get rid of the LOD and pop-ip issues in their engine.

Really? in what way? Considering it is 60 fps I would say the visuals are one of the game's strengths. Although there is something about the lighting that looks a bit off to me.

Is the campaign like BF1 again where it was just a bunch of short, crappy multiplayer tutorials masquerading as a single player story?

I haven't played them at all, so I can't speak to their quality, but yes. They're short mini-campaigns and I suspect they are of similar quality to BF1. As a multiplayer-only player for the life of the franchise, I wouldn't mind if they dropped the campaign all together, but I wonder why they don't just farm it out to another developer or field a team that can make something compelling. It's obviously never been the franchise's strength.. but it's not like you couldn't make a good campaign with the core gameplay elements here if the right people were behind it.

The final and most interesting campaign comes out this week.. but I'll probably never play it. The only way they could compel me to finish the campaigns is if there was some cool unlockable stuff for multiplayer, but it's just a handful of melee weapons and I couldn't care less. They should have gone for soldier camos if they really wanted me to play them.

They put together their best multiplayer design team in (many) years for this game. It's probably possible to do the same thing for the campaign if they really want to.

Looks great, going between this and Black Ops 4 feels like a generation shift in terms of visuals.

I’ve been really enjoying the game so far. I’m definitely wanting more maps soon but as a whole it’s a very fun game. Looks gorgeous on an OLED tv

MrWhite the other amazing thing in that video is the use of the node tools that can just be plugged whilst in VR. You can imagine devs in the future building games in VR instead of on a monitor. (17 Hours ago)

MrWhite There's other videos showing it mapped to avatar eyes, and it's 1:1 movement. It even detects the size of the pupil and maps it to an object. (17 Hours ago)

MrWhite Yeah, you'd have thought Valve would have put that in there. eye tracking with those controllers would have made it a true next gen headset. (17 Hours ago)
