Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend will release early next year and will contain the DLC characters, a new fighter plus new game modes. Screenshots inside.
For the first time, i have to say their is a company with even more BS than capcom in the fighting game genre. That said, im renting this version of the of the game.

Agreed
I got the first iteration of these sequels and have felt more and more robbed as time has gone by.
I got the first game and loved it, tried to get into it competitively and eentually stopped for whatever reason. It's a great game to whack on with friends and have a laugh at all the random moves and little touches included in the characters. Another reason to get a vita for me, looks pretty much just as good plus I enjoy fighters on handhelds especially solid, quality fighters for the bursty gameplay. Past my phase of where I would play one for months *cough*SF4*cough*
There will be 3 versions of blaz blue with this and there are 3 versions of SFIV (5 if you count the 3ds and iphone versions) Don't see how this is worse than crapcom tbh.
The difference in quality between Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift is staggering. That's why.
I'm talking before new iterations come out. 1 & 2 by themselves.
I'm not even sure how Continuum Shift ever got the reviews it did. It had no production value compared to it's predecessor and had about a quarter of its content.
Not to mention selling characters individually. Some of which you can earn in the game if you aren't incredibly lazy.
Even the announcer is annoying as fuck and they purposely set it up so you have to buy to get another announcer voice for the game.
It's worse than Capcom because you buy the first title expecting the same quality as Calamity Trigger (reviews lead you to believe too) and instead you just have an incredibly unfinished product. One that's purposely bare bones to get you to buy characters, music, voices, maps, etc. THEN the new versions come out.
Capcom at least gives you something complete, polished, and finished from the start.

What I'm talking about though goes as deep as simply the menus, options, the title screen.
