It's good. I mean, i have my reservations about some parts of it, but it's a great game. If you liked Bloodborne this will be an amazing game.

They could celebrate less and work on the big bugs this game has. I have one of the reportedly unfixed problems and the game crashes when I start a new game.

Tried taking the graphics settings down to low and starting as a knight? lol

I'm not making excuses, the random crashes and issues are terrible. Just trying to share the workarounds that seem to work atm. And there was a patch today, fixed many of the crashes for me.

Yep, googled the problem and tried everything. It's a bug that reports that can't write to a memory adress. It's confirmed by the devs and the still don't have a fix or estimated time for it. It's the first time that I'm considering a refund.

Funny thing is that every other crash seems to have a workaround, like you said.

Do you have a 7 series nvidia card? I've heard people w/ that line of cards in particular are experiencing this issue

A GTX 670. It's the same architecture , so it could be that. The latest patch didn't help at all with the issue either.

I have a GTX 780 ti and I had these problems but setting the lighting quality to low fixed it, even with the other settings maxed.

But since yesterday's patch I don't need that anymore, It plays perfect without crashes now.

buy a PS4 MWAHHHAHHAHAHAHAH take that PC elitists I knew there was some benefit to console gaming.

In all seriousness the bugs are abysmal and some issues like frame pacing that have persisted since bloodborne days are inexcusable. It either speaks to their inability to code or inability to care they seem selective of what they fix.

That said a worthier game for such success few will find it is a masterclass of Adventure and Roleplaying.

The souls games have never been good in terms of tech. They all suffer from shotty frame rates, weird bugs, crappy ports and so forth. Not really excusable at this point imo, what with the series being so popular.

But the games are great games of you can look past the technical shortcomings.
