I've finally finished Tomb Raider Legend. Those who know me are aware that I don't have the time and or patience to usually finish a game, so it should be a good sign about the quality of this game. Even with the technical defects of the 360 version, I've thouroughly enjoyed playing this new Tomb Raider. Great game! Finishing it also unlocked a few nice bonus that I've captured on video. Needless to say that watching this, especially the deaths video, can and most certainly will spoil some of the game.

Whoa, whoa, Blim. What do you mean technical defects? Is there something wrong with this game? I don't understand. It's not as if the game is pushing the hardware by any means. Let me know if this one is just a renter.

Yes!!! Its the T-1001(Liquid Metal) Lara Croft.

For some reason this game has me interested, even though I never really played or enjoyed any of the other TR games. Funny thing is that this is the same thing that happened w/GR:AW, never liked the other games but this one got me to play it fully and actually spend some time recollecting it. It seems that with the greater graphics, environments, and physics/game play that this system can deliver, one gets more drawn into the universe in question.

Well, I don't know a single game using self-shadowing where there's no flickering.

Yeah, but it's not just flixkering of the edges of the shadow, it's the whole textures that disappears far a frame from time to time.

It's a suped up convertion with the usual issues, but still damb good to play. The frame rate issues are minor.

This isn't pushing the X360, just isn't all that well written for it.

I've been playing this too and it has the occational hiccup even in SD (Peru end with the boxes and lots of enemies) and some parts like the motorbike ride look horrific even for a PS2 game.

With a little more polish it couldhave been a legendary tomb raider game.

It is in terms of what it does - makes Tomb Raider significant as a franchise again. Crystal Dynamics have most likely thrown themselves at their computers and drawing tables to follow up this huge sales success slapping even Oblivion down from first place in the UK. With a bit of luck that game will address whatever issues people have with this one and possibly even become the Two Thrones to this game's Warrior Within, provided the action bits and gunplay annoy you as much as godsmack and an asshole prince did.

I finished this yesterday, but missed alot of the bronze/silver/gold rewards. It's a decent game but I don't feel like it's worth going through again just to get them. I'm interested in what the "cat suit" looks like though. Does anybody have pictures of it or know if it's worth getting or not?

I know the devs are just getting to know the 360, but this is really pissing me off.
I was lloking forward to buying this game, but looking at the total picture; framerate issue's, no online play, no replay value(imo), a mere 5-8 hours of playtime, this is by far not worth 60 euro's.

Lol I finished the game but I never tried the no textures cheat.

I tried the game in 1080i and it still had FPS issues, what do you mean in 720p mode?

I agree. It is starting to scare me. I don't feel like I'm asking too much because I want to play a game with a steady framerate. I mean come on, texture and framerate issues. That is unacceptable. I don't want to hear anymore excuses about how there wasn't much time to fix any bugs before release because like myself, nobody even knew that the game would be released for the 360 until a few months ago. These developers need to stop trying to make a quick buck and just take their time. Stop being so damn lazy. Add this title to MLB 2K7, another rushed title that could have otherwise been great. Freezing issues. WTF?

Man you're talking about 1st generation titles. I'd really start to worry if the 2nd gen titles are still stuttering, but right now, nothing unusual.

does it run at 60fps with framerate issues? or does it run at 30 fps with framerate issues? if it's the latter, then i'd be real upset. if it runs at 60fps for the most part, with studders, that is good enough for me.

The game has a lot defects (specially frame rate issues) on its pc counterpart running with next gen on.

That shows, this was an issue with the producer (even thought i think they did an excellent job, put a current gen and a next gen pero no mucho version of the game at the same time) not the hardware. Hopefully there will be a fix, for both PC and 360.

the only thing i hated was the sound glithch of the flash light when you enterd a cut-scene and the weird humming sound would kick in, the shadows and the frame rate didnt bother me (only 2 slowdowns and those whore on the same spots al the time.
oh and i played the game @ 480i (SD tv, n money for a hd tv)

I only played through the story. I did not try to get everything unlocked at all.

IMO, the game was ok, but there's not much of a replay value...

"Wow,no textures mode!" Really, what's the idea? "Now I'm happy to play it through again, and maybe unlock "no colors mode?" Or "no voices mode?"
