Last night, Activision has released the direct feed gameplay of Destiny that was first shown at E3. So here it is on Gamersyde, 12 minutes-long 1080p video to get a good idea of how the game looks like. Bungie's title will be out next year.
Very nice looking in this quality :)
I think they said on the EU Playstation Blog that they re did the entire gameplay sequence from the Sony E3 Press conference. They even added new cringe worthy headset chatter. :)
I wonder how close the weak Xbox 1 hardware can come to this quality. It will be interesting to see how crappy real (xbox hardware) multiplatform games look on the Xbox compared to the competition.
Not a fan of bungie, didn't like the reveal video of the game much at all, but this footage has kinda sold me. Looks like a more realistically rendered, more customisable borderlands, with a cool as hell style to it. Could end up being a bit TOO halo. But otherwise it looks like a day one buy. Can't say no to some co-op goodness.

I can't say that the gameplay is great, but decent.
Graphically, this game reminds me a lot of Rage. Yet I have a feeling that what we see is more a tech demo than a demonstration of the game. The 'ghost' is like a light orb in a tech demo and it is demonstrated that way. When the lights go on, it's like they want to show the lighting tech. It looks great though. But is this actually running on a dev kit or is it a pc version?
I don't think it was said to be running on xbone, so i assume its not a PC.

But i do agree, looks half-baked tech-wise. Afraid of frame drops ? (No! Don't move that stick! It could implode!) Also, those voices... Will you please STFU!? Artwise it's superb though.
No idea which system to get this on though. Either PS4 or X1, decisions, decisions :) Hopefully we get some hands on previews on both versions close to release so I can buy the better version(if there is one).
yeah they spoilt this by recycling the same script as the E3 demonstration (only having a woman play the role as his mate - as women are only good for voice overs rather than being on stage playing games)... just felt a lot more forced ..."whats your gun called?"... "better than yours" - made me cringe hearing that on this video when it brought a little chuckle when the followed the script on Sonys stage.
Game itself is looking great.. you can tell it's buy the guys that made halo. I do wonder how well it'll play when playing with randoms though.. this might be one to pick up on current gen first so I know i'll be able to play with mates.
As for which version will probably be better...I doubt it'll come down to graphics and framerate. More likely come down to network code..and who you're playing with.

The Xbox 1 is slightly less powerful than the PS4. Go troll elsewhere, or learn to actually do some research. Being a fanboy just means you miss out on some of the awesome parts of the industry. Enjoy!
Actually come to think of it, wasn't Destiny one of the MANY games to freeze up when shown running on a PS4/PS4 devkit?

Oh, you've played it? No? Weird, are you somehow to review a game by simply watching footage of it? That's pretty impressive!
I don't think that just because there is lighting it has to be a tech demo. It was an awesome moment that seemed to me to focus on showing that you're kind of exploring cool spots and there's all sorts of stuff to inspect. Not just "ooh look shadows."

Considering the PS4 is hopefully going to be a functional platform for developers and that'll put the consoles on even footing, and the PS4 is getting extra content, I'd say it's safe to say get this on PS4 if you have the choice. Although the controller may not appeal to you if you're coming from a Halo background. I'm still holding out hope for a PC version v.v

I'd say more than slightly. Might not be evident early on after release, but down the road it will get worse. The gpu is much weaker, the main visual element, an d having 5 gigs for the game rather than 7 gigs of RAM will eventually hurt as well.
Cloud computing isn't going to fix it..

Anyone here know a site that hosts an English version with comparable picture quality?
