Xbox 360 PS3

Ubisoft released this first developer diary of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, presenting the technology behind what seems to be another fine episode in the game series. It's something worth watching while waiting for exclusive coverage of the game next week.
Update: To make the wait for our awesome coverage of that game even more bearable, Ubisoft offers you guys this brand new trailer!

phucking sweet, and yeah, i hope the frame-rate doesn't take a major hit with all these new techniques their using... but it sure does make the game look prettier :) X360 ftw!

Better than expected, as long as the SP's as good as the first one, i'm all for it.

I have no doubt the single player is going to rock just like GRAW 1 but my god if the same quality of MULTIPLAYER graphics as GRAW is present in GRAW 2, I wont be buying the game because it just is unacceptable.

Graphics wise, it's good enough. I still don't know if I'll buy this game, it seems like more of the same in terms of gameplay, and while that's not bad, it may not be worth another purchase.

Again, this just confirms what I've said about Ubisoft. They make a game from the ground up and then a game that just builds upon what's there.

This is of course handled by Ubi Montreal first and then by one of the lesser studios such as Ubi Paris and Shanghai. These sequels, to my taste, never have the same impact as the game done by Montreal.....

The damn explosions are the best ones I have seen so far, and the damn smoek trails when they explode and they shoot out...amazing.

They have added tons new new features when it comes to visual aspect, but its the same game from GRAW 1 but a sequal story wise

It was never being done by Montreal. Ubi Paris did single player and Red storm mp in graw1, same here.

Gfx looks refined, but the geometry on buildings and cars is same old.

That's true, but at least they start out with a strong unique idea, rather than building on nothing...

*Cough EA, Cough.

Yeah, I haven't paid much attention to buildings, but cars are horrible !
Lots of eye candy, though, now I'm drolling !
Regarding hte MP, I thought it rocked on GRAW 1 : good graphics with a hdtv, nice maps, oh, I love this game, can't wait til'march (yes I can, I'll buy crackdown, 1st things 1st)

Those guys in the video sound funny! Anyway, the game does have really pretty graphics so far, but I'm still concerned about the gameplay.

So is GRAW2 using the same engine for multiplayer and singleplayer this time?

I don't think so, the MP is produced in the us by red storm.
Loved the first one, it was good looking, with less special effects.

All I heard was "blaa blaa blaa feature blaa" while I watched the horrid framerate still there from the first game.

Less bs talk, less tape and glue PC-engines and more optimization thank you.

I own the GOTY edition of GRAW and playing it is a nauseating lagfest after games like GoW and Crackdown. Sure the AA is nice, just dont move the camera.

Some cute features, but it's not Crysis, and it's not enough to convince me to spend $60.

That demo they plan on releasing had better feature some badass AI or some kickass Rabbid cameos.

I dislike the Graw series for one reason... I hate fighting mexicans..I love killing Nazis in a video game, but mexicans just bother me. Thats precisely why I bought Rainbow Six. (Not to mention I almost had a heart attack when the first level was in mexico.)

Yes, someone at ubi or Tom Clancy had a very bad experience during his vacations in Mexico (wife dropping him for a local, who knows). Mexican rebels invading the US, that's pretty fun ! It reminds me of an old 80's "classic", Red Dawn I think, Patrick Swayze and his football team, the wolverines, were up against the soviet army that hadinvaded the US overnight (talk about a covert operation).

"Depth Sprite" I like, I like! Awesome orchestral score. I haven't played GRAW but when I get my 360, should I pick this up instead? Or should I buy both? 'Cause I heard they're improving everything since GRAW, so I feel no reason to buy that unless the story completely changes.
