I think the fact that the gameplay feels outdated is largely intentional but even then the main complaint I've read seems to be that there's no iron sights (but there is zoom when pulling LT). Graphics being outdated is understandable but not the end of the world.
Also Bulletstorm will never replace Duke Nukem. That's just silly.
It's a bummer that people are suddenly fascinated with oldschool FPS games when games like UT3 bombed so hard despite being the best representation of the genre released this gen.

It's all about the zeitgest. When UT3 came out, there weren't as many self-serious FPSs.
The legend that was duke nukem 3D still lives on in my mind I used to call friends and pwn them over a modem connection, good or bad this was the greatest FPS for a long time and I am buying it. They need to give me my demo already.

Zeitgeist my ass, it's all the gamers who loved Duke 3D hyping the shit out of this combined with it's legendary status as that one game that never fucking ever comes out. If this was called "Captain Rockelauncher Vs the Alien Swine Horde" nobody would look at it twice, even if the blurb on the bo was "features tits".
I'm not going to lie here, i will be buying this game just to see how bad it turns out but i'm willing to bet that it won't be a great game,
If it's good i'm not going to lie about it but i am not expecting much from this game. I expect it to be pretty bland in the gameplay department with a lot of forced attempts at humor. Now if i actually find it to be genuinely funny and good, i'll be happy to admit that, i'm just not expecting much. I think it's a reasonable position considering the history of this game and what we've seen of it so far.
