Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Techland has released a 26-minute long commented gameplay demo of Dying Light 2 which was presented to the press at E3 and Gamescom. The demo covers among other things the studio's new iteration of the day/night cycle, the player’s choices and the narrative and in-game consequences. The title will be out in Spring 2020.

Thanks for this video in high quality. The game looks great. Techland also promised to support Dying Light 2 for many years like they did it with the first Dying Light, even after the next gen consoles come out.

In fact, even now after 4 years and a half and while developing Dying Light 2, Techland still has a small team developing more DLCs for Dying Light 1. Techland is a really great studio that deserves all the support they can get. Hopefully the sales are much better than they were for the first game, they really deserve it.

looks great!
so hope they have a VR code like the last game, but have it be a properly supported VR version.

Thanks for the HQ vid, with less commentary and 60fps! The game also looks incredible!

Damn, this looks like a real step up from the last game, almost in every frontier. Hopefully you can up the stamina really early on, cuz if the character gets winded climbing a set of stairs, it just doesn't make sense. Really impressed by the use of colours this time around, Dying Light was too monotone for my taste and the branching narrative, if truly this varied, might make for some really interesting multi-playthroughs.

Parkour looks so close to Mirror's Edge, i dig that.

As for the missions i hope not all of them are as scripted as the one from this demo. I'm kinda interested so far.

  • nostradamus

nostradamus massive downgrades coming from the staples achieved w/ the Halo 3 sandbox/physics, with Dice/BField it should never be a trade-off, ony thing they should be trading its engine if it isnt up 3 the job (12 Hours ago)

  • nostradamus

nostradamus Halo keeps being this Sonic title bait & switch "will their next title be able to Look up par with its current gen counterparts"? Never. Even Halo 4 who was pretty good on Campaign suffered from (12 Hours ago)

  • nostradamus

nostradamus tech? I dunno, go get some insight of Activision (the good input, not the misogyny), all they COD devs make evident generation leaps tech-wise. Do they keep being the same core IP? I think so. (12 Hours ago)

  • nostradamus

nostradamus so Halo must be thet bottomb of the barrel FPS to keep its identity. Add some negligible subsurface scattering reflections or some other tech only possible now and call it the day copy/pasting the ol (12 Hours ago)

  • b0vril

b0vril yea but, would it be halo then? (13 Hours ago)

  • nostradamus

nostradamus engines. I mean, If you can have a PS3 Ratchet & Clanck that looks like a vaseline ps3 game, and a PS5 Ratchet&Clack that looks like a goddamn next-gen game, why can't Halo Evolve - Ugly FPS Seal™ (1 Day ago)

  • nostradamus

nostradamus Halo Infinite sure is one ugly damn game. Pretty obvious nothing is going to massible change if the Ip doesn't die and start from the ground up with another publisher/dev that doesn't retread the ol (1 Day ago)
