Here comes a new trailer of Dying Light which shows how the lighting and shadows are in the game thanks to the physically based lighting system using Techland's Chrome Engine 6. Warner Bros. will release the title in 2014.
I know full well they're going to do another dead island and the game is going to feel a bit jankyl but it's pre-ordered anyway. Should be fun in co-op.
I hope developers take a class with JJ Abrams on how to show restraint with all these crazy lighting effects. There's a fine line between enhancing the look and realism of the game and just making things look ridiculous.

Will they really do another dead island? This game seems to me like their evolution of that series.
I mean this game is going to essentially be a dead island game, complete with janky animations and horrible combat. It's just called something different cos someone else owns the IP.
I played it at Eurogamer Expo, it's basically Dead Island + Mirror's Edge. Down to the boring zombie AI. The control scheme of using the triggers is just like ME. But the platforming was quite fun and made me more anticipated for Mirror's Edge 2/reboot.
