Konami and Kojima Productions keep spoiling us for this E3 with a Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain video lasting nothing less than 40 minutes! And of course since the image quality is quite amazing, the file size is also quite ridiculous: 8.7 GB. Needless to say this is only available by stream and bittorrent!

I remember reading some where that you will be able to turn that soldier marking in the options and you can in Ground Zeros , but after this demo it seems that this is crucial part of the game as several companions have that as passive or active ability. And without marking there is noway to keep any knowledge of surrounding enemies. They could have added something from MGS4 that sound circle around as alternative. But maybe there will be mini-map gadget that you could equip like in MGS3 there where couple of options same as Peace Walker.
Overall looked really impressive the Dog and robot definitely number one companions :)

That quality! Fuck yeah! Sorry for that word, but it´s ok when I´m saying good things about GSY, right? :-D Video is awesome, thanks.
TBH, I´m still having a good time with MGS Ground Zeroes. Many gamers had problem with it´s gameplay time, but I must say it´s great game. And now it´s for free for PS+ members. Damn!

I was excited a bit, but the more i watch the less i want it tbh.
Ground Zeroes gives a good basic idea how the gameplay is in this one, i finished it and i just didnt think its the right genre for me.

the problem wasnt just the gameplay time lol, the area in ground zeroes was too small and too densely populated to be representative of phantom pain. With that said,it didnt even work as a sandbox because they didnt give you enough tools to mix up your approach or make it fun. The game punished you for not remaining stealthy and when combat began it was just a joke because the entire base was alerted which is not how phantom pain functions.

I love Big Boss's (triple S? lol) design, he is one of my favorite character designs in gaming but character design alone doesnt determine my decision on paying so much for a game i dont have that much passion for to play.

I played Ground Zeroes, finished all missions+exclusive ones, it was fun the first few days, but then i havent touched it ever since. If i do, i just lose patience of stealth and go all out guns blazing or go 50/50 like rambo or something lol.

Seeing Phantom Pain i dont know, i want to like it since its more open, more variety on what to use and all that, but at its core, its too stealth focused, and i am not a big fan of it. Who knows maybe i will buy it when its cheaper or something, lets just say, never say never. But day 1? nah doesnt feel like one to me, unless i change my mind closer to release and buy it...which wouldnt be the first game to do that to me.
