Did you guys see that? The ground deformed with grooves when the cars drove over it..
FINALLY a game other than Sega Rally (the new one) has that :D
I'm buyin it just for that, i dont care, im a sucker for ground deformation in rally games. I bought Sega Rally for that too, and surprisingly, i loved it :)

@Baleur: FlatOut Ultimate Carnage also had terrain deformation. Not as impressive as Sega Rally's (no water - ground interplay), but it was pretty impressive nonetheless, considering the amount of debree you can kick around on the track.

On a different note: I've been visiting this site for several years (well into the xboxyde days), but I'm only registering now on the forums, so HELLO EVERYONE!

Hello! Welcome to Pwnersyde!

:o)

Nah, good site this!

ONTOPIC! I love Dirt and Grid, so this is a no brainer, but god it looks good! they really have got their shit together. Like Turn 10 have finally realised that driving games have to look great as well as play great, this looks to have cracked that.

All the previews so far point to a far better control system too (to stop fuckers whinging about how it feels like your pivoting on a central point, blah blah blah, like they've ever driven a fucking rally car...). Sorry.

I really hope that's true, cause I would love to pick this up if that's the case. Otherwise I'll have to pass on it like a lot of people did for the first Dirt. All the "whining" was justified imo and you didn't need to have driven a real rally car to know that. You just had to have played other racing games like Rallysport Challenge, Sega Rally, or many more that controlled and felt much, much better than Dirt did.

If it controls like Colin McCrae 2 on the PSX, albeit with some current gen tech behind it, then I'm there. That's the key for me. The cars must have weight. You must feel on edge everytime you fly over a jump or bump in the road in case the car decides to want to go sideways and you've to fight to keep it steady on the road. McCrae 2 had it nailed.

Speaking about how this game looks, though; someone tell me that this is actual in-game. I've been confused lately. First F3 and now this. They both look too good to be true, although F3 will for sure look how it does. I just never expected either, and this again looks so good that it could be CGI.

Maybe it's the PC version but yeah that's probably realtime rendering.
