Not sure what you're rambling about. Unless you only play exclusives, there are tons of potentially very good/great games coming out this year: Dragon Age Inquisition, Driveclub, The Crew, Evolve, Destiny, Evil Within, Shadow of Mordor, AC: Unity etc. Not to mention the new COD, BF, Far Cry. Then there's the indies... So many.

It looks open world, If it's open world like Dead Island 2 then I'll forget about it.
normally i would disagree with this since i am a big fan of open world but it really doesn't work well with these types of games. its nice to have the big maps to travel freely, but it becomes really boring when the only thing to do in between destination A and B is kill zombies. Its a cheap way to extend the length of the game by having us go through miles of repetition.
once the game is finished, i usually toss it aside and never touch it again. even though i do think these games are fun for awhile, i dont think i can justify buying another Dead Island for a few hours of fun then just finding myself rushing to finish it only to be left disappointed by what will undoubtedly be a very average story--at best.
personally i feel like these guys should get away from this B movie crap and make a game that is reminiscent to the mood of the first trailer for the first Dead Island. that is something I would buy
