EA Sports released these first images of Fifa 10 for the E3, and as expected it looks great.
Update: Added quite a few more images.

FIFA 10 is sounding absolutely fantastic.
Oh, and they seem to be tweaking the player likeness. I see they've added a few pounds to Wazza. Spot on, EA. Sure he's a fat bastard anyway.
As opposed to 3 years without a trophy at all. ;)

I might pick up fifa 10, i keep sayin it every year and end up just not bothering. Theres just something about knowing that next years game will be better still, plus some of the likenesses are still a bit off, they improve but they aint quite there yet. You would think they would nail a few teams each year so they dont have to revisit them the next time, but its always these miniscule improvements to all teams.

Awesome, awesome, awesome.
Viva Barca.
Anyway, back on topic. I don't think people should underestimate how significant the 360 degree movement is in the context of football gams. Heck, it's arguably one of the biggest things to happen since football games became 3D.
That alone means that FIFA is likely to trump PES this year.
2yrs would allow them to work on a new engine (they could finally sort out the frame rate drops in replays), and new animation - it may even offer them time to get Rooneys face looking actually like him.
Fifa 09 was a huge success.. its still very much alive with the online community on the 360. And with the free auto update for the prem.. do we really need a new fifa this year?

It would literally be Fergie and Wenger (and maybe David Moyes) who would be worth rendering in the Premiership.
