Xbox 360

While exploring the showfloor of E3, we took the time to capture some gameplay of Castle Crashers, the new XBLA sidescroller from the creators of Alien Hominind.

I hope this game is really long. I am getting the impression that they just keep adding so much shit to this before it gets released (more customization and so on)

Hopefully this will influence Treasure to release Guardian Heroes (or even a sequel?) on XBLA, a game which I'm sure must have had some influence on Castle Crashers.

Well I don't see what the big deal is... talk about overhyped... I played Alien Hominid and didn't care for it... I'm guessing some did and really liked it. I don't see what all the hubbub is all about. Come out already so we can end the hype train.

i think the game itself looks great, a nice side scrolling beat em up like the classics of old such as streets of rage or golden axe. i mean, who wouldnt want that. its the fact its an arcade title and its taking longer then some full fledged games...lol. im sure they're adding to the game, making it the best it can possibly be. but its going to get to a point that to get a decent profit in terms of time, effort and money that they've put into the game, they're gonna have to charge 4200 points or something.

for me, the simple fact its arcade means it shouldnt be any more then 800, if it is 800, then great. if its more, then they lost a sale.

That and people love how it's violent, yet oozes cuteness out of every pixel.

It feels like this game has been in development longer than Halo3, Gears of War, Too Human and Huxley combined!

As good as it looks it is just an arcade title that probably can be completed in a couple of hours!! and I think we have all seen this footage multiple times now.

Just release it so we can all get on with our lives, please!

Definatly, if its priced above the standard then we start to lose the whole point of arcade games.

The game looks great, and its about time we started seeing some actual effert put into these xbla games rather than developers porting what anybody can download for free on the net and run on flash.

I just hope that it doesnt do a worms.. give us 3 levels, and then charge extra for additional levels. If i'm buying an arcade game i want it as a whole. Especially if those extra levels are released on teh same damn day.

You have to remember, landscapes were only added as an extra download as back then the size limit was 64Mb so they might not have had enough room to squeeze everything they wanted into the game and have it within the file size limit ala Vigilante 8 arcade.

You have to remember there are only something like two people working on this game.

Looks like great fun, can't wait. I miss these scrolling beat 'em ups bad.
