Here is a short solo session of FEAR. I didn't have the time to play it myself, but the game seemed technically on par with the PC version in high details, and the framerate was pretty solid.
I hate when people say it's a port ( well this is bu onle because it's been out on PC so long ) but if it's a PC and 360 game people still say it's a port from the PC but it aint it's just multi platform. So any1 know if this is better than the PC version lol.
my pc crashed when i tried to run this on my agp 6600gt. It comes standard overclocked with an extra 100mhz on the memory. I needed to back it off from 1ghz to 900mhz. Then the game worked fine. But still needed it on medium because it was running in a hi res on my widescreen monitor. Would be nice having it on high detail at a high widescreen res.

This is DEFINITLY a port..your point may apply to COD2--maybe.
I dont care how port-ish this is, I am most definately getting this game. I loved how the game was on PC, while my PC cant run no game what so ever, so this will be so awesome. Cant wait to go to slow mo and then throw and grenade and watch the airwave come. I love airwaves, the ones that are like trails from bullets in the matrix. =)
If this game ends up playing at full PC detail like the devs claim it will, at a solid framerate, i will be damned impressed. This game brings the very best PC's to their knees at times.

I saw a video interview (GameSpot maybe?) where the guy talked about some of the new content they're adding for the 360 version.
There's like an arena/arcade mode where I think you kill as many enemies as you can within a time limit or something, Live leaderboards included. I believe they're adding some new multiplayer stuff as well.

Well the developers had said that they are adding on to the story line for this version, so the game will be a little longer.
theres also a new mode that pits your in vrious livevel and the enemieds just keeping coming at you it was demonstrated on gamespot and looked pretty good
The dev said it was running compared to a PC on the highest settings on X360, awesome. I passed on the PC version because my Ati 9500 Pro can't handle it. Gonna buy it for the X360.
The version of the game that we had the chance to play today didn't look quite as good as the PC version did at its best settings, but we've been told that the game will be using all of the textures from the PC version along with the highest settings when it's finally released.
On the one hand I don't want to believe it because of all the other PC ports... on the other hand Condemned used basically the same engine and looked great. FEAR also looks stable in framerate, so no reason to doubt, especially since Xenos can kind of cheat on AA and HDR (in regards to performance) and only has to hit 720p. A 1800XT is at 60fps with 4xAA and 8xAF on at 1280x1024 with all the features cranked up so with 30% less pixels and less hit for AA and extra dev time on a closed box, this should be possible :D
A dev told me at E3 that there will be all new multiplayer maps for the 360 version. Graphics-wise he said that they were aiming for PC version max details and locked 60 fps at 360, which would be pretty damn nice. He mentioned some other additions in terms of content, but I forgot. :/
There must be something going on that you can't see in pics, because none of the screens I've ever seen for this game( PC or otherwise) have impressed me. The levels look bland and boxy to me. Are they fully destructable? Are the effects unbelievable? What is so great about the games visuals? Looks like standard Doom 3 level normal maps and such to me. Hell, even the models don't look particularly high poly...

LOL, once again, screens doesnt show anything. Play the game on a mid-range to high end PC and you'll see how advance the graphics and physics really are. (You can actually see your feet when you look down!!!) Also the AI are the best I've seen.

Bit of a shame really. Considering all the raving there was about this game and i never really got what was so amazing about it from any of the screens i saw.

Meh, you can do that in Halo 2. and Breakdown actually, but that was your whole body as well.
The footage made me a little skeptical of how close to the PC version the 360 version will look. I played F.E.A.R. on my PC at full settings, 8xAA, 16xAF, and 1680x1050 resolution on a 7800GTX SLI setup, and I can see a distinct difference in detail between the footage of it running on 360 and the way I played it on PC. Specifically, it seems the particle effects when you shoot stuff has been dramatically reduced, and blood spray in the PC version seemed a lot more dense, almost as if they were using volumetric cloud technology to make the blood (especially when you blew someone up with a grenade). The blood sprays in that footage looks very thin in comparison.
It makes sense though. It took an incredibly powerful PC to run F.E.A.R. with full effects at a high resolution. It's no fault of the 360 though really, but mor of the developers. The game was incredible, but they should have spent a lot more time optimizing the engine. It wasn't miles ahead of other PC titles of the time visually, yet needed a lot more horsepower to look as good as say, Quake 4 or Call of Duty 2. Maybe they will optimize the code more for 360.

edit
somebody's drunk ;)
The game is extremely short, and the multiplayer is trash.
The single player, however, is tons of fun.
