More awesome looking VR stuff. Sony really is serious about it, and it's great to see.

I agree Mr. White......I agree, but I think we all know especially by now when Sony gets serious about something especially when its being adopted by all platforms of gaming they don't play around remember at the end of the day they are a hardware first company and always with style...

i don't see how PS4 can produce visuals like that in VR. but then again we're talking about crytek...visuals are kinda all they're good at.

Is this related to Robinson's Requiem? Seems like it! Probably the game will be the typical VR experience but the original game was one of my all time favs!

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (4 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (4 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (4 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (5 Days ago)
