GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Miguel went back to the French Alps to see some more extreme sports action in Steep. Because it was something people wanted to see, he even tried the first person view from time to time.

Interesting game... that guy behind the monitor has insanely gross arm hair.

i can safely say the announcement trailer was the only good thing i saw of this game. the more i see the worse it looks. that parachuting option just seems utterly pointless...just a slow descent to earth with nothing to do? and the first person view for wingsuit is jerky as all hell.

i went from excitement to complete disinterest withing about 3 days. lol

I booted up SSX 2012 yesterday as I had it from Games With Gold and it's BC on Xbox One now, and the trailer for this during the Ubi conference made me get an SSX itch. SSX actually looks visually better than this to me. The only thing noticeably better in this are the character models when up close. The rest of the stuff, not so much.

Like, what the hell. (and no I'm not basing my judgement off these off-screen vids, I've seen the direct feed stuff gamersyde posted a bit earlier too)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (3 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (3 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (3 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (4 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (4 Days ago)

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (4 Days ago)
