I'm kinda worried about this game. The quality just doesn't seem like it has quite the punch that the previous games did. Both of those games impressed me from the very first trailers and footage. Is it the same team doing this one?
i can't wait for this. mafia 2 was pretty shit, but the first was great, so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt in that regard. i just love the tone of this one though based on what i've seen of it.
Brand new studio (not only to series but it's literally their first game), the track record of the previous entries have nothing to do with what to expect from this game.
I hope it holds your hand less, Mafia II became a mini map dot chaser with no point to doing anything else but, since reward for exploration was next to null (did like some of those playboy pics though).

You mean the same studio? No, I think they were shut down long ago. Mafia 2 was okay but honestly there was so much driving with nothing else to do from point A to to point B.

IGN showed some extended gameplay of this yesterday, and I found it kind of underwhelmed me. I mean it looked fine, but it was maybe more "arcadey" than I was hoping, & generally just a bit stale.
