Here's the second and last part of our Uncharted: Drake's Fortune gameplay video which takes place in the spanish castle level. And after the climbing sequences, here comes the action ! Melee fights, guns, explosions, there's nothing left and it looks great, even though the cover system pales if compared to its main source of inspiration: Gears of War.

This game has great graphics, if the colour palette were grey or green, it matches the quality of both gears and killzone. It´s more difficult make a game with more colours.

The graphics look mindblowing! The cover system in comparison to gow isnt as good, but that can be worked on.

This could very much be one of the hits of this year (im guessing it comes out this year).

I really don't understand why evetybody is so hyped about this game. Animations look pretty good but nothing mind blowing. The graphics are decent but again nothing really special. Sometimes it just doesn't look good. Like in the first gameplay movie here on xboxyde.
I suppose it will be a decent game, but it's nothing to use caps for imo.

It's the "screenshot/movie trailer factor", Sony uses a lot of these. You release doctored material to the press like screenshots from a dev station or a good looking trailer. People see this material, get impressed by it and forms its first impression, after this its hard to critically look at what it's been produced. It's like buying a book by its cover or a movie by its trailer.

Anyway, not to get OT, they still need to work on the shooting mechanics, and the whole grappling/fighting system. Nail that, and I'm have no more issues.

Nice.. those are one of the best textures i saw on console right now... and they are the only ones that can make a rope look like a rope, i've seen so many 360 games that have 20 feet ropes break in 5 parts...

(People are gonna choke me soon for going on about it but) Gamespot's stage demo of it made the gunplay look just fine. It seems to be a matter of adjusting. Blim even bouleted a comment on the camera because it was clearly the guy playing who wonked about with it.

TBH I don't think this game looks all that impressive to play. I like the location and the style but it just doesn't seem to work for me. Who knows I'm probably speaking to early but I atm I'm not that impressed

Am I the only one who is really turned off by how this game shamelessly steals all it's gameplay from Prince of Persia and attempts to steal the shooter experience of Gears?

Maybe I haven't seen enough vids, b/c what I have seen so far seems amazingly unoriginal.
