Disappointing. I walked away from that feeling similar to how I do every year. The coolest shit they showed (cyberpunk namely) is all on rival consoles anyway. And the stuff that isn't is just cgi fluff for games I grew weary of years ago. Why was gears and halo not gameplay? Gears is out in 3 months...and they don't show any gameplay??

The double fine acquisition is...eh. like the last game I bought from them was psychonauts and if I understand correctly, I'll be able to buy psychonauts 2 on PS4 anyway. Same for wastelands 3 due to being crowd funded projects prior to their acquisition...

...And announcing a console on stage and making it out to be something when it's just nothing didn't do them any favours at all. They just echoed everything Sony said in an interview a few months ago. They needed to at least show what it was going to look like. Even if it was just fancy rendered video. And them constantly talking about unrivalled immersion while ignoring VR was just mind boggling.

Crazily the best thing they showed (including visually) was flight sim...at a console conference....what? Lol


If they can convince people to give up their digital collection of games on PlayStation they have something good with that gold/gamepass deal. But that's a big ask. It's not a clean break like last gen. A lot of people are VERY invested in different consoles ecosystems. hell, there are some idiots out there who went completely digital this gen. Lol 

What a ridiculously lame show for me. I support XBOX since the first console but looks like this is it for me. I'm out. MS obviously appeals to a certain type of gamer but that gamer is not me. There is no question in my mind that MS wants to be the Netflix version for games. Just listen to them keep pumping Game Pass. They want everyone to access every game, with everyone, every where = Game Pass. Even the new console that they never showed, is set up for streaming games or Game Pass.

They are not interested in creating new AAA single player content that appeal to gamers like me. No that is left up to the 3rd parties since MS has already proven they can NOT make those type of games. Hence we have another MS E3 show that the most exciting game was Cyberpunk a multiplatform game. Gears supposedly to be going in a new direction did not show the SP but some new mode. The game looks like it going to play the same and as usually the MP is going to be the headliner with the SP being an afterthought. 

Lastly, this show was a complete failure to gamers like me (not all gamers) because there was not one exclusive game shown on XBOX that compared with ghost of tsushima or last of us 2. Even the Halo Infinite non gameplay trailer didn't look as good. I see why Sony skipped the show. They have little to no competition in the AAA exclusive games and they get all the 3rd party games as well. A solid D- for MS on that show.

I knew when the flight sim was the highlight (for me)of the Xbox show, then you know you have failed MS.  I don't even like flight sims, but this one piqued my interest and looked beautiful.  No real scarlett news.  What did they say at today's briefing about Scarlett, that had not been already said or leaked?  No real news on Project Xcloud either, just more questions about it than answers.  By the way... I have thought this for 10 years.  RARE sucks.  The biggest waste in MS's money.  My teenage daughter saw Battletoads and couldn't wait for them to get past that section.  I have owned all 3 Xbox consoles.  Sony PlayStation won e3, and they didn't even have to show up.
