Electronic Arts announced a few minutes ago the release next winter of Army of Two: The 40th Day on Xbox 360 and PS3, still developed by EA Montreal of course. First screen inside.
awesome. first one had it's low points and problems, plus it was rediculously short, but im still interested in a sequel. i loved the design of the characters (masks make everything cooler) and it played really well. it was just a same a lot of stuff from the earlier trailers where cut from the game...such as using the forklift truck, flipping objects for cover, the buggy vehicle or repelling up and down obstacles....im sure in typical EA fashion, those will be the *NEW* features added to the sequel.
I couldnt even finish Ao2 :| it was just stupid, last level was a joke, no creativity...they just threw every type of enemy at you giving you zero cover
anyway i will follow tis game and i hope the game its FUN to play, 50 Cent:BOTS is what Ao2 should have been

I'll never understand why people say things like this. If the game is great and you're enjoying it and you payed $60 for it, why would you want it to all end so soon? Why even buy the game then.
Anyway, I was hoping these guys were going to announce a new IP. First game was horrible, boring, and very cheesy.
I like short games too :P You don't have to buy all games... you can rent them. I can't justify paying $60 for most games, so I enjoy the shorter ones so that I can rent them, bang through them on a weekend, and return them. Nothing wrong with that.

and yet still better then 50 cent. im not saying army of two was fantastic (read first comment) but it was a damn sight better then 50 cent....it at least managed to include split screen...50 cent looked average and couldnt even manage that.
The first army of two had some good ideas but seriously flawed and unsatisfying gameplay let it down completely, the plot was laughably bad and Salem and Rios where the least likeable main protagonists i have ever had the misfortune to play as in a game, their in game banter was cringe worthy and sounded like it was written by a retarded 5 year old who has seen to many bad hollywood movies.
Ea has to go back to the drawing board if they want to make this a good game, but i'd rather see them scrap this entierly and start a new franchise since i do not think army of two had anything worth salvaging. (not even those stupid masks)
I liked AO2, but when you completed the game and it unlocked all weapons for you (or something like that) it totally destroyed any replay value it had (I was so dissappointed when that happened) I loved buying the weapons upgrading and "pimpin" them out...

it didnt unlock them all, there where still a fair few that remained locked and had to be bought.
