Electronic Arts kicks off its EA Play showcase today at 11:00 AM PDT live from The Hollywood Palladium. The publisher announced big reveals of Battlefield V, Anthem, EA Sports titles and "a few surprises". Watch it live inside.
As usual, EA's was one of the worst conferences ever, EA never learns. Though it was already expected, so nothing to be disappointed. At least Anthem, Battlefield 5, Unravel 2 and Sea of Solitude looked very good. Great that Unravel 2 is already out.
Battlefield is the only thing from the conference I'm likely to spend any money on.
Anthem looks boring and way too similar to destiny in its design which I also hated. Hopefully they show something less staged and more indicative of playing, something with more of a narrative hook that'll change my mind. Otherwise this is just going to be another bioware title that's turned out shit since EA bought them.
EDIT: and it's online only too. And with that, I won't be touching this game at all.

and where is KOTOR EA? not that i would want KOTOR especially they way the junk star wars films have been made and abused and ruined by the industry, but i still had hope... what joke, and that kid with the belt overhis shoulder, could the world be anymore cringy
Aye, that Sea of Solitude. The PR woman for that was talking some shite. Really, who gives a toss what the deeper underlying themes are for your game. Emo philosophical nonsense. Artsy fartsy twaddle. If you think people play games to ponder deep emotional states, then you're barking up the wrong tree, love.

Anthem showed less than last year, although that was obviously proof of concept. The format of the game doesn't really interest me, although it looks quite impressive visually (although not as good as last year).
Sea of solitude looks pretty interesting, the concept and the visual design.
