Electronic Arts kicks off its EA Play showcase today at 11:00 AM PDT live from The Hollywood Palladium. The publisher announced big reveals of Battlefield V, Anthem, EA Sports titles and "a few surprises". Watch it live inside.
Melmoth @Sdarts: I vaguely remember that game from back then. Never played it. (1 Week ago)
Sdarts I loved this game, you can play with different characters, each with their own abilities. You had a dash, that was basically like flying - Really cool mechanic. Squaresoft at its best. (1 Week ago)
Sdarts But got to a place where I couldn't progress further, because I didn't understand Japanese - before 2000, I wanna say. Really liked it and still remember it randomly sometimes. (1 Week ago)
Sdarts And then later their American versions. There was this Japanese game only released in Japan, I think it was from Squaresoft, the game was quite cool and I went very far in it. (1 Week ago)
Sdarts @nostradamus: Yes, PSX, N64 & Sega Saturn as well. Those days, I played a lot of imported games. I believe I played Final Fantasy 8 around 6 months before the US release. Tenchu 1 & 2 in Japanese. (1 Week ago)

Seriously, these bastards are a stain on the industry. Can't stand them anymore.
Andrew Wilson looks like a vampire, which is fitting given they're a bunch of bloodsucking, souless hacks.
Anthem looks boring and way too similar to destiny in its design which I also hated. Hopefully they show something less staged and more indicative of playing, something with more of a narrative hook that'll change my mind. Otherwise this is just going to be another bioware title that's turned out shit since EA bought them.
EDIT: and it's online only too. And with that, I won't be touching this game at all.
and where is KOTOR EA? not that i would want KOTOR especially they way the junk star wars films have been made and abused and ruined by the industry, but i still had hope... what joke, and that kid with the belt overhis shoulder, could the world be anymore cringy
Sea of solitude looks pretty interesting, the concept and the visual design.

This is pathetically condescending and a bit sexist. There is nothing wrong with designers putting deeper themes into their work, it is almost always the case. And she was understandbly excited about her project.
Right, so not liking this so called "deeper theme" because I play games to have fun and not have my head melted is sexist now? Ahhh, the modern internet in all its fine glory.
You want to know what's "pathetically condescending" as you (ironically) put it? Her standing up on stage thinking she's Freud trying to explain to everyone the complexities of human behaviour and describing how when people get lonely they turn into monsters. Aye, yo-fucking-ho! I don't know about anyone else, but whenever I get lonely, I go to Pornhub.
Or is saying 'relax dude' also sexist?
Sexism is discrimination based on gender. How did he discriminate?
This, is by definition, sexism "sexism in language is an offensive reminder of the way the culture sees women"
Sexism isn't just discrimination. displaying a sense of superiority to another sex based on prejudices is also sexism.
Using "love" is often used as a means to undermine women and what they're saying. Which is exactly what condescension is. Its the act of patronising superiority of which Mr white displayed towards a woman.
He said himself he wasn't trying to be endearing, so...
