After getting a good press since its demonstration at E3, Ubisoft releases this accolades trailer for Far Cry 4.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

Not every game will appeal to everyone, nor it should - a duck can walk, fly and swim, but doesn't do any of those particularly well, if you get what I mean.
Not arguing against your taste, just against what you said: that the accolades the game recieved are "untruths"/not real/not deserved. To me, for example, the game looks great and seems like Far Cry 3 times 10, so I can't wait to play it.
I'm also not saying the game will undoubtedly be great, Titanfall received lots of awards at last E3 and was just CoD with mechs. But the press judges games by what they watch and play - as do all gamers - and if the demo is very good or amazing, they won't say the game is horrible.
And Marketing and PR will take advantage of that, which they should as it is their job.
Where are these 10 new innovations or big changes to the same tired ubisoft open world filler sidequest/collectathon design? There are some new vehicles and shooting while driving and kill animations. But I don't see much else new, and what new I mentioned was just miniscule.

Trailer looks nice though.
In regards to not being a proper sequel, how many sequels are 1.0 rather than 0.5? To me a 1.0 sequel is something akin to what AC2 did from AC1, which transformed a very boring game concept (5/10) into an epic game concept (10/10). Or what CoD4:MW did with the franchise.
The majority of sequels is basically that 0.5 you said - while most sports games sequels are like 0.1 updates, so that doesn't bother me in the least, otherwise I wouldn't play most games that come out. Plus I loved Far Cry 3, so more of that epicness is welcomed.
As for Ubisoft's standard game design, millions of players just love having those great open-world playgrounds to play and wreak havoc, and want their U$60 games to be longer than 5 hours or just a long single-player campaign. I know it's not for everyone, but a lot of gamers just like to stay in the game's world and enjoy it a while longer or as long as possible, even if it's just enjoying the side activities and collecting stuff.
Is their formula getting stale, sure, but their games are still great for millions of players - me included, and a lot of franchises are shifting to the open-world formula like Metal Gear Solid and The Legend of Zelda.
And what's the point of having a big open world environment if you don't have anything to do in and with it? Perhaps Ubisoft's biggest problem is one of creativity and execution instead of having a lot of stuff to do. Even so, I played Watch Dogs and enjoyed all of the side activities, except for those mini-games like Chess and Poker.
Not saying Ubisoft should use it with every game, but that's their preferred game design style, so I don't hold it against them, in the same way that I don't hold against other studios for having a preferred game design style that's in most of their games.
If you stop to think about it, it's actually quite common, though what the great studios do is diversifying and changing the formula enough that it feels fresh. To me, Ubisoft's problem is that it doesn't do this properly.
Edit: i know elephants cant fly unless their name is "Dumbo" lol.
