Konami announced it this morning, spanish striker Fernando Torres will join Lionel Messi on the cover of PES 2010. In addition to this first hand information, a visual of the gentleman as he'll appear in the game. Now you know everything.
Hopefully the gameplay matches the jump in quality of graphics.
You're joking right? People see one extremely glorified image of what the graphics are supposed to look like and they wet themselves. We've all seen the trailer that was using the in-game graphics (which were shocking BTW), and Torres looked barely any better than last year's. They've all still got that horse-like teeth expresion. There are no leaps in graphics with this series. They've bettered the shadows, but thats it. The images seen have all been photoshopped to the tits to make them look as good as possible. EA does it too, but the difference between EA and Konami is that the models and lighting and shadowing and all the rest of the detail actually do look like they do in those bullshots in real-time, albeit with a lack of AA. As for the gameplay - expect that to be archiac too.
Who cares about graphics. It's all about the gameplay. Until Konami can admit to themselves that their ancient engine is... ancient and outdated, we're not going anywhere.
EA Sports used to be the perfect example of milking the cow... but they were willing to change their image and that seems to have worked so far.
@Konami: skip one year and build a brand new engine from scratch. We love PES, but FIFA games have been kicking your arse for 2 years now.
pes? errrr... thanks but no thanks. especially since FIFA finally goes back to free 360 degree movement. never understood that EA changed it to 8-way just because pes had it that way.

What are you talking about? 360 degree movement in a football game has never been done before. EA never changed it back because Fifa 10 will be the first to impliment it.

Now all he needs for added effect is to scream at Rafa at random moments.
