GSY Preview PS4 Xbox One

We were recently invited to discover the first 3 hours of Final Fantasy XV, the next AAA JRPG from Square-Enix. We did not come back empty-handed, since we captured a few different passages of the PS4 version, which you can admire in high quality just below. Hmm, is it possible to disable the name tags from appearing over the subtitles? I think I've seen video feeds without them?

It would be amazing if you could increase the size too so you don't have to squint if you're not playing right next to the screen, Kinda important for us players who want to hear the japanese dub.

This is not me being a dick or anything, but if you need to squint to read that, maybe you need a pair of (new?) glasses? I don't think that's very hard to see clearly at all, tbh.

You're looking at it on your monitor/laptop screen.

I'm talking about playing on a TV from a distance. But then again, perhaps some people have amazing eyesight.

All i know is that there are a whole bunch of options, especially for the HUD. But i don't think you can make subtitles bigger.

I have terrible eye sight, if i take my glasses of i can't even see my computer screen clearly when sitting right in front of it. I mean, i can read the text on my computer monitor while standing next to my couch without too much trouble. Can't imagine it'd be harder if i jumped from 22" to 46" :P

Yep, there are at least Japanese, English and French voices and you can choose whatever voices you want with whaterver subtitles in the main menu.

I think this is the build that will be on the disc at launch but they are already working on the day 1 patch and the first dlc. I'm not 100% sure though, it obviously depends when they start manufacturing discs

They really improved IQ and distance LOD which were my biggest complains regarding the graphics but i do hope the ps4 pro 1080p version will be even better and not just use supersampling

Actually, the "master" version was the version that was going to be shipped with a Day 1 patch, should FF15 had been released last month.

What we see now is the result of 2 months optimization and improvement. Meaning the latest version of the game would have been done through post-launch patches. Now we'll be able to put the disc in and not have to download dozens of GB of patches.

Also, the game has yet to go gold. Meaning there are probably a couple of weeks more improvement to be completed.

Hear, Hear. It sounds so cringy I swear, takes me back when english va's sounded bad back in the 90's in anime (except for Cowboy Bebop or dbz).

The camera looks pretty good but there are some obvious issues. I just read that the camera issues are planned to be fixed in the day 1 patch so thats great news

Maybe it's because I read too many comments of people complaining over this and that. I don't even know why I care, just seems so silly :)
It's at least 15years now that I stay clear of german gaming sites or internet sites in general (always late on news + filled with dumb ppl that don't even know how to write in their native language) but never in these 15 years have I come across 'cringe' and 'cringy' until 8 months ago or so.
And now just everyone's employing it. Cringy here, cringy there, everything's cringy nowadays although (according to dictionary) not a frequently used adjective at all.
Well, parlances change over time i guess. I will have to get used to it :)

Its confirmed base ps4 but we still don't know how exactly the ps4 pro differs. It could be just resolution and better framerate or extra graphical features. Now that we are getting close to release they should clarify soon
