Electronic Arts has published a new movie for the next game in the Fight Night series, Fight Night Champion.
The trailer celebrates demo release, available today on Xbox live. It will drop tomorrow on PSN.
Played the demo.. theres something not right with this game....
I was playing FNR4 as it downloaded and jumped onto this straight from that. The visuals are nice...different to those of FNR4 (where that had a more CGI look to the boxers this ones got a more oil painting look to it).
The punchings faster, and have a more meaty feel to them.
Things go down hill from there. Frames seem missing in the animation..and i'm not even sure it's kept FNR4's 60fps..it certainly doesnt look or feel as smooth. Also the controls seem to have a mind of their own (i'm using the analog sticks), where they'll punch without you punching. Theres something distictly disconnected about it, you never feel you're the one in actual control.
What version are you playing? I thought is was quite a bit faster. It seems really smooth too, on top of looking quite a bit better( the lighting, shaders, and object motion blur are incredible). You can now punch while blocking( much needed addition for effective counter punching) which, if you are used to the previous games, made me think I was throwing random punches. The stick used to block left and right with the block modifier enabled so I was just used to using the stick, thus throwing "random" punches. I'm on the 360 version, but I haven't played it back to back with FNR4. It is certainly more visceral and quick. I don't like that they took out the corner game...
