EA has released a new trailer of Fight Night Champion. This is the occasion to see more footage from the Champion mode that is at the center of this new episode.
long as its still got a full polished sports game attached i dont mind efferts being spent to offer a campaign. Does seem abit weird though.. i couldnt imagine them doing this to this extent with other sports titles. I guess its another sign of boxing not being as popular as it once was (largely because the americans nolonger dominate the sport) that they can't rely on the sales from boxing fans alone

Or the fact that boxing doesn't come on television anymore outside of ESPN Classic or paying 50+ dollars to watch a PPV match. Or that there are 15 different boxing leagues. Or the fact that there are 37 different belts. Or that there are 9 different weight classes. Or the 13,000 other reasons boxing is no longer relevant.

You forgot the main reason boxing is dead------MMA! Who wants to watch a couple of guys bob and weave and throw punches with overstuffed pillows on their hands for an hour, when you can watch a top tier wrestler square up against a jiu jitsu expert in a fast paced, (almost)anything goes battle? The reasons you listed are valid, but to myself and most people I know who USED to fans of boxing, it is all about MMA now.

GTa 4 was great for the time it came out, it still hold up today, texture wise, modeling and physiques, this is a different game, different mechanics in the way it's build, so IMO not a good comparison. (Currely playing GTA 4 again now).
This definately caught me by suprise though. EA I got the money ready... waiting to see how this develops.

Comparative statement to where boxing was. It is non-existant as far as the sports world goes. The average sports fan may know more college Women's basketball players than boxers.
Faces did a huge step forward compared to the previous FN games! Nice. Now they have real impressions, seems they pimped the eyes and stuff. And the story mode looks reeeeally interessting!
