Fight Night Round 3 is back with these new images from the PS3 version, and the graphical differences compared to the 360 are really easy to spot. Nice.

Yeah really, this game was released on 360 back in March(?) and it doesnt look at that much better on PS3. The boxers themselves look a tad nicer, but those backgrounds are almost ps1 quality. Compare them to the 360 version, http://xboxyde.com/gallery_2695_en.html# , and see which one offers the better overall experience. The only thing that could possibly be going on here is that they are using those backgrounds as placeholders and will replace them with 3d characters later, but if not, DAMN!
The background i 360 hade some sweet blureffect on. Don't understand why this was taken away on PS3 cause the background is really terrible, bad mix compared to the boxers.
The shape up is clear. More liquids, shining glows and pant and better lights
i dont care how good this looks,its last years game made again,improved and yes it looks nice,but they had over a year to make it look better so its expected.
but overall from an xbox360 owner i think it looks better(in ring part)
like someone said "whats the crowd matter"
imo alot but if the eye candy in the ring can keep you wowing then i suppose it dont matter that much.
cant wait for FN4 when its completly next gen and no crappy ports like the 360 owners club got

Character models have alot more sweat on ps3 which is good but nothing that 360 couldnt have done so nearly a year and thats the only improvements they've made to ps3 version while ps3 version was the first to be announced.....disapointed in EA
It's the same game..and being dissapointed in this game for the ps3 is like being dissapointed in fight night 3 for the xbox360 as well.

Granted the players look a bit nicer than the 360 version(still cant get over the horid backgrounds), but thats whats to be expected from a game thats been in development for almost 2 years compared to the 1 year, or less, for the 360 version. Both versions look awesome and are some of the best looking characters ever seen on any system, especiall since you can reference them to real life, but I dont think that this is something the 360 couldnt do given the same time to develop.
Stop trolling :| . It's notable that boxers on PS3 have more detail than in 360 version, they also revamped the avenues. Watch the video, backgrounds look the same if not better than on X360, those screens probably come from debug-kit, without some effects applied.
Hell, EA said it themselves: "Next-gen starts now, with Fight Night Round 3 on PlayStation 3!" .
oh come on ea sports producer is a blender he pushes his game too much... it looks great but not so great that its an advantage for the ps 3. its a great uptade compared to the 360 version but its rubbish to say that next gen starts now ... i hope that they release fight night round 4 2007 and a want to see some great graphical improvments not only an new sweat engine

EA decided to limited the audience and almost make the backgrounds dark, to improve the models of the fighters. If you look at the 360 game, there is a huge crowd, and the demos shown so far for the PS3 version, have had hardly any crowds or very dark crowds.
Watership, go watch videos at gametrailers. PS3 version actually has more detail in the avenues, more details on boxers, more sweat, higher res textures, better lighting.
Not only you can see it, EA actually names the improvements.
