yes of corse better than XIII. should not be a problem for sqare. XIII have a lot of potential but it dont use it. The Battle System is the best so far. and dont come me with that you just press on button the whole game. thats BS and only beginners would say that. oh yeah and only beginners grind lol.

Does not really mean they cut a entire game out, just means they cut a load of data out nothing else, bit like ...ooo yeah "in diablo 2 each act is bigger than the whole of diablo 1" this is old quote yes, but each act was not playably bigger than the whole of Diablo 1 just art wise and data wise it was.
So anyway..
I want to see gameplay, sick and tired of worthless cgi trailers, i want to see how it plays see if its worth my time getting excited for.

Yes it was. Now that I read that game inscription, there were some differences with the series. President that was shot in the series was woman and man in the game. Also main protagonist had different real name in the series. And the series ending was interesting. Protagonist finds out that there still are some unfinished business (maybe that real name too) and leaves to solve those.

I bought XIII and it was a huge let down. I played it for about 10 hours and after seeing tube-levels only, one button-press-battle only and a rather stupid story with loads of annoying characters, I stopped playing it.
I know (from other forums), that battles become more challenging later on, but seriously, how long do you have to play it until the fun begins.
After FFXIII I told myself to never buy a game because of its name again and maybe to never play a jrpg again, so I am not interessted in this.

But seriously they need to go back to turn based gameplay, or at least something that doesn't play itself.
FFXIII gets increasingly challenging by the end so that you HAVE to use auto battle or else you'll lose. But, at that point it becomes more twitch based than strategic based. Which was disappointing. Friendly AI being dumb as hell is another problem.

This^ 12 i thought was a travesty of gameplay, and thirteen followed. Although turn-based fighting is a bit of an anachronism, there was at least some real time response and strategy. Based on the rumors, versusXIII is going to be closer to KH/X-2 in terms of play style, something I look forward to. A huge draw to the FF series for me has been their storytelling, nevertheless I want a game, not interactive movie. (the bouncer anyone?)
12 Was not that bad, yes vann was a little dick and it played like a lonely mmo, but the story was decent and i loved the style..plus fit chick with bunny ears :D
I think 12 gets a kicking it does not deserve, 13 gets the kicking it damn well deserves, but 12 really aint that bad...really...it aint...
