Microsoft and Turn 10 finally stopped their media blackout and released these 4 new images of Forza 2. It's certainly not looking bad, far from it in fact, but Turn 10 still seems to have a hard time getting the lighting right.
The left light on that enzon looks really odd and flat,im with DIRTPIPE,theres just something that looks crap and i not sure what it is.
GT demo on ps3 looks loads better,model detail anyways.

I see I'm the one who has to say it. I bet that when this game ships and everyone sees the level of detail and the physics,damage,damage modeling,and number of vehicles. No one will say ANYTHING about how it looks.
Wtf, this looks so cartoony, i really hate that i wish it would look more realistic like GT HD does, even if GT HD is pushing far less polygons and next gen fx it looks better then this, just because of it's realistic look.
It looks good to me. When I'm driving along at 100 miles an hour, I won't care about the 3d grass and blurry ground textures, low detail texture on the Maserati or angular drivers helmet.
The GT demo on PS3, was one hires car on a low poly track, with lots of slowdown in the replays. Show me GT5 in 720p, 60fps, acurate physics and with more than 8 cars on track using workable AI and I will be impressed.
oh god, do not compare this to GTHD demo, Forza 2 has a fully dynamic damage model system etc, its a whole lot more impressive than GTHD demo is, GT has been stale since GT3, GT5 is most likely gonna be the same.
cant understund why it doesnt go to any realistic games creation to compare the visuals to real photos. The hightlights are just not right, neither is the overall scene colors. If they only would film a track and see that the colors would be correct i would be really suprised
I wouldnt judge there some terrible screenshots of PGR 3 on net what dont do it justice an look terrible compared to what you see with your eyes. And also there heavily compressed wait for the gameplay videos i say.
well i know that as soon as i see in game footagew it will look awesome,i just baffled why they release shots that dont look GREAT,they just look ok.
and yes i understand that everything that goes with this game is so complex,thats why i loved forza 1 so much,and it has loads of things GT dont,its the lights that dont look right,its like they are flat almost.
this is my opinion and like everyone i am intitled to it.

Because TV's don't work at 45 Hz/pfps and you would get screen tearing.

Exactly people here are seeing still pictures and complaining, when they see the damage and physics plus 60 fps in motion they will soon shut up, at least i hope.

I have NO idea what you're smoking - and I know 'Opinions are like A$$holes...' but a comment like this makes you sound like a complete tool. PGR3 has major texture issues - jaggies like broken glass and no grass on the entire thing. AND - virtually no damage to speak of... oh AND about 1/4 as many cars... So to even HINT that you think this is even CLOSE to PGR shows that those coke bottle glasses you wear must not be up to the job.
Sorry folks - opinion and all - but this looks fantastic. Those reflections and the smooth body outline are insanely beautiful. If you're looking back with rose colored glasses - stop dreaming and look again. PGR3 looks great- but it's not even close to this amazing.
Hmm i'm a bit dissapointed, i mean i still play the original Forza on the 360 sometimes and aside from a higer resolution and some improved lightning and textures i don't see a full generation leap.... I mean the trees are exactly the same, and in fact it looks like the same engine that's polished up.
This is a next gen console though so i think it's a little unfair to call the people who want better graphics 'graphic whores', people just expect better in terms of graphics from a next gen console, especially games that are first party.
I think they only need to change the color. It's way too oversatturated/overexposed and as a result it losses a lot of detail, maybe even add some noise/particles to the textures so it looks a bit more metallic and not as polished. I believe, that's the reason why so many people say, they look like plastic toys, and they really do!
