Microsoft today released a new trailer for Forza Motorsport 2, showing some more of all the customizations you can do. It all looks impressive of course, and I can't wait for the first gameplay footage.
Sweet! You guys have been updating a lot lately! It's awesome! Everytime I come back to the site there is something new. Anyway, I think I will wait for the streaming video (which is awesome as well).
I saw some realtime screens on the official site. I cant wait for this game. I loved the 1st Forza and only stopped playing because 360 came out and I didnt want to start all over again.
Forza smack the GT series around and Forza 2 will be the undisputed king of racing games.
as far as i can tell thats in game footage. but i im never impressed by vehicle models. those allways look good, even on PS2. What can impress me are the environments, and i didnt see much of that at all. im shure the game will look amazing, seeing as Forza on Xbox looked so good.
Erm, don't get your hopes up with the graphics, I mean that was a 100% pre-rendered trailer. Granted some game assets were used but don't expect the effects, reflection accuracy, etc to be like this in the game. I'm not putting down the game, it's just a little heads up for the people who might go 'OMGWTFBBQ THIS LOOKS AMASING!!11' with this trailer...
Yeah i agree, they do have an ingame quality. However i would say that the shaders on the textures are too hirez to be ingame, as well as the self shadows.
i dont think all of it was pre-rendered. Look around the 50 second mark. Look at the wheel wells of the rear tire as it bounces and the shocks rock the car. You can clearly see that the wheel well is not perfectly round and is made up of polygons because you can see edges in the wheel well.
So I dunno.

That trailer isn't worth shit, if you ask from me. Where the hell are the in-game videos?! I want to see what I can see when I play the game(God of grammar, please don't kill me).

Look at the wheel wells. If you look closely, you can see they aren't perfectly round and can see the areas that polygons join.
Bah, I said game assets were used, that means 3D models and some textures. It's pointless for the marketing folks to spend extra time smoothing out the models or modeling high-res ones just for a trailer. The same thing was done with the PGR3 trailer.
