I totally forgot about this game! The art style reminds me of Darksiders, maybe a bit more colorful. It looks like it plays ok, a demo wouldn't hurt since people really don't know about this game.

I like it, but I just can't stand the fact the guy has a scythe and only a scythe.

Sure he is quick, but I am a sword person, I got all the "scythe action" I needed in Dante's Inferno.

Though I love the speed of the character considering he is big and all (another thing i dont like) and the visual effects are cool.
And the CGI is amazing, top quality.

I hope there is a demo :)

After NG2 scythe became a must in every slasher (and I'm not surprised about that, it was best weapon in NG2).

I'm quite interested in this one. First Genji was good. And I don't see any other slasher to play for me now (new DmC is a bad joke, and I don't believe that NG3 will be even decent).

That may be so, it was good at clearing out hordes with its UT but thats basically it. It was a "horde controller" LOL

NG2 was hardly any good either, and that was from Itagaki. Other than SOME music tracks and the combat engine, NG2 sucked ALOT with multiple patches.

Also people, these guys made Folklore as well, which I found to be very fun and unique (played the demos) and visually beautiful with various colors for the effects.
I found Clash of the Titans to have a pretty good combat engine and a very nice wide variety of weapons but thats about it (what do you expect from movie-game).

I agree these videos are "meh", but most of the videos seen on internet by official companies are always shit compared to "action game fanboys" (such as myself), they are the ones that can show how proper the combat is (whatever game that may be).

From what I seen, it has potential to be quite good so I am definitely getting more interested in it.
Atleast it looks much more interesting than Enslaved and Dante's Inferno.

One thing I hate about these games are when they dont add more than 1 weapon and have various outfits, or even have NEW GAME+.
Those are the things that are crucial for this genre and it pisses me the hell off with these games when companies dont do so (DI, Castlevania for example).

I find scythe the most fun weapon in NG2. I know pros will say that other wepaons are more effective, though.

I don't believe in Team Ninja now. NGS2 and Other M were a nightmares, imo. I don't have any more hope for Hayashi and his team.

Folklore was amazing and it's still my favorite game on PS3, yet Majin proved that rumors were right and Folklore was more child of Gaia than Game Republic. But as I said first Genij was decent and I hope this one will be decent too. I would prefer a new Berserk game, but this one might be fun enough.

I have NGS2, like it much better than NG2, why?
Because I am not getting spammed out of my ass with incendiary shurikens to blinds my vision, nor did I wait for multiple patches to fix my game so I could FINISH it.

I trust in Hayashi because has some original ideas to bring to the table for NG series and so far his "remakes" has been pretty good.
But considering NG3 is like a reboot in a way and that its his first full game I am just gonna give him a chance.

Folklore seemed to be great but damn such a hard game to find though.
I played Majin demo as well, bored me.
Genji 1 seems to be better than Genji 2, why? the damn camera is further away so you can see more, have bigger view of the battlefield.Good, this is in a fantasy/medival setting :P

Remove graphics and scale and you got nothing but a Rygar clone for modern gamers, in 3 games without any combat evolution.
Same stuff but minor changes.

But if you find epic scenery, graphics and music and gore great game then you might as well watch CGI movies all day.

If you want a great game and combat (fun factor) evolve...look up NG to NG2, thats how you take a good combat and evolve it to be crazy good.

To say GOW3 is a "unbeatable king" in the genre, far from it.
To love it is one thing, but the genres best is definitely handed to games like DMC3, Bayonetta and NG series.

PS. I am not saying GoW3 is bad, it was a epic and fun game, but "king"? no.

Funny concept, as GoW3 isn't even the best of the franchise, more like a dissapointment of finale on the trilogy. Hell God of War wasn't even the best Action Game in the times it came out (Ninja Gaiden and DMC3 are far superior).

Looks weak, IMO. Pretty poor design. Who decided it was a good Idea to design that boss chamber with a boss that climbs on the ceiling, and then put a bunch cloth hanging for said boss to clip through? It makes me think of halloween for some reason...
