At least on the surface of things they are. Hopefully the game ships and it's polished enough and has a compelling single player campaign with a certain degree of variety to it. DICE have a habit of half arsing their single player campaigns. But yeah, the check list is very reminiscent of how games used to be.
Hey, it even comes with the very consumer-friendly loot boxes with randomly generated rewards available through micro-transactions! What could possibly go wrong? ;)

Those things that people cry about in Overwatch even though you get skins for free and it provides the basis for great post-launch support Not a whole lot, really. If people want to spend money on nothing so that I get free content, more power to them.
If they influence the gameplay that's another story.

Yea the last like four or five DICE launches were all trainwrecks. Oh, wait.. no you'd have to go back to BF4 for that. And the irony? BF4 is their best game in years and maybe for years to come.
